This is an entry- levelvel bike and I’m about to start one of the fastest group rides about. That was one of the toughest things I’ve done since unbound that little section. Now, I’m told on a good day they average 45 km an hour or 28 mph. So, I want to find out if I can keep up on a bike that costs £1,000. Now, I really want to be able to achieve this because I want to prove to the world that bikes just like this are capable of pretty much anything we can throw at them. Now GCN needs to lean hard into exercise physiology and associated sponsors like home gym tech, sleep therapy products, diet programs, and franchise gym companies, then find the normal humans in the GCN Megabase (not GCN Presenters, because they are too awesome already, and can't get better easily) and coach them into a cycling road race using the sponsorship products!

I like bikes i truly do but the behaviour of road racing cyclists really annoys me. I understand you want to do your thing and you are extremely vulnerable. But please try to think about the other people on the road. Perfect example is pack rides. If someone is on their way to work on a Saturday or Sunday morning would be nice if one time the pack went single file so the cue of cars could pass safely. ❤ good luck and stay safe ❤️

I think ypu should do the race ( group ride )again with the original wheels on and handle bars because not everyone can afford £1000 wheel upgrade.That will show everyone that the bike won't be as good as you make out imo

Let’s go! Funny story from back in the day when I was mountain bike racing. One of my teammates road an absolute beater bike worth only a few hundred dollars. Finished 1st and at least solid minute ahead of second place. Power and skill matter the most, in my opinion 🤙
I understand the upgrades. I think that toy should look at "upgrading" with an entry level pair of wheels such as the elite marvel 50D. Compare them to the factory wheels and ride them in a group ride. I think that would be more representative of a typical upgrade path.

At 59 and on a $1400 bike, I could do a 25-mile section of a ride that stayed 28 mph. No attacks though; everyone committed to steady and rotating.
