Saint-Tropez is a charming coastal town located on the French Riviera in the southeastern part of France. Saint-Tropez known for its glamorous image, beautiful beaches, and vibrant nightlife. Saint-Tropez has been a popular destination for celebrities, artists, and tourists alike. The first settlement on the site of modern Saint-Tropez was founded in the 2nd century BC. Saint-Tropez was a small fishing village. Its name is derived from Saint Torpes, a Christian martyr whose relics were said to have washed ashore in the area. The town gained strategic importance due to its location overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. At some points in its history the city was occupied by various powers, including the Saracens and the Spanish. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries the picturesque landscapes and bright colors of Saint-Tropez began to attract artists and writers. For example, artists such as Paul Signac and Henri Matisse. The town gained international fame in the 1950s and 1960s when French actress Brigitte Bardot visited this place. Here she featured prominently in the film “And God Created Woman.” Saint-Tropez is home to high-end boutiques and luxury brands, making it a shopping destination for the affluent. The town continues to attract artists, and various galleries showcase both contemporary and classic works. Saint-Tropez has vibrant nightlife. There are many nightclubs here. The city is home to the legendary nightclub La Cave du Roy, known for its glamorous and lively atmosphere. It hosts the annual Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez sailing regatta. During which classic and modern yachts gather for a week of racing in the Bay of Saint-Tropez. Also the traditional Provençal festival Célébrations de la Bravade, dedicated to the military and naval history, takes place here. Saint-Tropez also has many historical attractions. Such as the Old Town (La Ponche), the harbor of Saint-Tropez, Place des Lices. One of the most famous sights is the Citadel of Saint-Tropez. This is a historical fortress located in the heart of the city of Saint-Tropez, which was built in the 17th century. The Citadelle de Saint-Tropez served as a strategic military outpost, guarding the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. St. Tropez has been and continues to be a popular tourist destination. It is especially crowded here in July and August. Travelers are attracted by the beautiful nature, beaches with crystal clear water, of course, the variety of entertainment. Saint-Tropez remains a symbol of Riviera chic, blending its historical charm with a modern, glamorous lifestyle. It’s also a pleasure to just walk around this city, enjoying the architecture, beautiful views and atmosphere.

  1. Guess it’s where you are walking, but it seems like mostly tourists. And any place with mostly tourists is for tourists.
I’d rather visit out of season, no matter the weather.

  2. The music in the beginning makes me think about life man.

    Life so precious mannnn.
    Live and enjoy it.

It just had me thinking bout all the people I lost in life also

  3. Paesagisticamente e architettonicamente, la trovo piuttosto anonima e con troppo turismo, nonché molto cara,ci sono posti migliori sulla costa azzurra e in generale in Francia.

  4. I'm blown away that a place so well-known for being a site the wealthy travel to quite often has some of the most subdued shopping I've ever seen. When you walked by the Dior store at the beginning of the video, I would have never known, had you not caught the sign in frame as you walked by. Personally, I love that the vendors didn't turn it into some garish outdoor shopping mall and kept the beachside community spirit, as much as possible.

  5. excellent video quality and without "jumping" it's a pleasure to watch, can you tell me what month it was filmed in?, you do an excellent service with these videos! Thank you!

  6. I wanted to go to Saint Raphael but decided for Nimes last minute. Now I am curious about Nice and Saint Tropez. All looks lovely but there is always such little time and France is soooo big 😅
