I started out with a Gravity Deadeye 29er, and am adding/replacing components to build a do-it-all bike. (Jokingly referred to as my Swiss Army Bike). Ritchey Beacon XL bars, Brooks B-17 Saddle, tall stem from the parts bin, Tektro levers, and RaceFace Chester pedals. I’m into the whole build for less than $600 right now. I will eventually upgrade the wheels and tires, and start adding baggage. My goal is to be ready for the Smoke an’ Fire 400 in 2025.
