Noticed this curious detail about the setup on the new Colnago T1Rs, which debuted in the recent London 3 Day over the weekend.

Other curious details about the T1Rs, pulled from their white paper on it:

  • 65mm front hub (bolts),
  • 100mm rear hub (track nuts),
  • 28mm tire clearance,
  • and T47 Asymmetric bottom bracket standard*

* This might explain why all of their promotional photos show an aero drive side crank arm (which appears to be a rebranded Raketa crankset), but their race setup involves using a Miche Pistard Air non-drive side crank arm, which features a single self-extracting bolt design, similar to SRAM Omniums and which differ from the preload cap + 2 opposing pinch bolt design seen in Shimano Hollowtech II/Sugino DD cranks.
