Coastal MTB in Gozo, Malta—Dwejra cliffs, Wied il-Mielaħ natural arch, Wied il-Għasri valley and Xwejni salt pans. Shot on crystal-calm seas with pure cliffside singletrack.

We roll out above the Inland Sea (Fuq il-Qawra, San Lawrenz), threading rocky singletrack with the coast on our left. After a quick inland link through Wied ir-Raħeb’s shaded, overgrown valley, the trail opens onto L-Għalieqi—my favourite stretch: easy-flowing dirt with huge sea views. The limestone gets bolder at Wied taċ-Ċawla, skirting the weather-carved “Mushroom Rock,” then it’s down to the Wied il-Mielaħ natural arch—Gozo’s other window—quiet on this autumn day. We continue east above Wied il-Għasri and finish at is-Salini (Xwejni) where the historic salt pans double as a natural half-pipe. One last coffee in Victoria and we call it a ride.

Fuq il-Qawra, San Lawrenz — yellow Globigerina limestone, glass-calm sea. Rocky singletrack: loose gravel, watch your line. Natural limestone wall — Gozo’s coast is basically a sculpture park. Dropping into Wied ir-Raħeb — shaded, damp, overgrown most of the year. L-Għalieqi — my favourite roll: easy dirt, huge sea views. Mushroom Rock ahead — Globigerina base, Coralline cap. Wied il-Mielaħ Window — the “other” Gozo arch. Ridge above Wied il-Għasri — snorkel heaven in summer. Xwejni Salt Pans — 350+ years of sea-salt tradition (and a perfect half-pipe). Marsalforn coffee to finish — best recovery tool.
