87 here. I was walking around wondering why it smelt so much like cereal here in Oh, that’s how I think it’s pronounced. Turns out there’s a brewery to bring It’s amazing. [Music] Who’s that? So we got off the train in Fua. Had a walk around the village which is pretty marvelous. Wonderful old French buildings. And there is the end of Fua. Just leaving. Yes. Wonderful little village. Really old and historic. Windy little streets and cobblestones. These old pretty little buildings with wooden beams everywhere. painted all fancy different colors of the castle perched right above the village. Now just walking to Mongalia which is where the new start of the uh GR 107 is unfortunately [Music] unfortunately it’s all along this road so it makes for pretty boring walking pretty sun exposed. Uh the start was originally in FUA but I think they moved it because of land rights or something like that. I mean I think I got about 5 km to do today from getting off the train and then walking up to Mong Galliard. So it breaks you in a bit. So as those signs tell us. Let’s head off in the direction of Andor Perpon and Mongalia. Just got off a bus from 6:30 from Barcelona Estasio Nord this morning. Got into Tulus at about 12:30. Then hopped on a train at about 12:47 for €18. Spent a bit of time hanging out in now walking up to Mongaliard so I can start the GR 107. The official start is uh yeah in Mongali. So we’ll see. It’s pretty incredible around here nature-wise. Yeah, in hindsight, I really should have got the bus this part, but sometimes fortune doesn’t pave the brave and sometimes you make mistakes. If you’re going to do it, you should definitely get the bus past this bit. Uh, so we made it to the start of the GR 107 to Montgaliard. Some crazy person has changed his sign to make it upside down. But yeah, here we go. One and a half lers of the finest wine maybe. And here we are in Moniad. There’s the tent in all their glory. It’s a pretty sleepy, quiet campsite. No bar and no restaurant. So, it’s going to be a pretty um going to be quite a quiet night for me, but that bodess well for getting going in the morning. So, there’s my cooking setup. And here are the fruits of my labor. Instant noodles, ravioli. No, not ravioli. Small fuseline. Hola. Moju and mackerel mixed up together. It’s not the best in the world, but this is the reality of long haul throughhiking. It’s got to be cheap. It’s got to be carryable. And it’s got to be nutritiousish.
