I rode the Eurovelo 6 bike route from Nante France to Budapest.
lunchtime video. Oh, let me turn my podcast off first. Quick lunchtime video along the l got a lot of burers here. There’s down in all these little coes down there, they have um these like bird blinds and people can go down there and sit and watch I guess a special bird of France. Bonjour, but um yeah, coming into Vandri. I’m probably saying it wrong. Had a nasty headwind today for about 20 miles, which wasn’t good. I still have it. Not as bad. Going up to 94 Fahrenheit today. Anyway, lots of cyclists out. Makes the day go quick. Um anyway, so going into Bandre. It’s supposed to be a very beautiful town. So, we’ll check in there. Quick video. I’m minding my own business. Heading out to Valandry. And I’ve seen moose and mountain goats and all sorts of crazy stuff, but I never saw a real goat like a farm goat. Hey, buddy. Buddy, come here. Come here. Oh, he’s eating the flowers. Anyway, off to Band. Quick video of downtown tours. This is I guess the good part. I just went through the bad part, which I didn’t film, but the good part. There’s no cars on main drag. Just um these trolley cars. So interesting. I wonder what that like made it into Amboy. I’m sure it’s Amboy or something like that, but I’ve never actually heard anyone say the word. Anyway, this is the city center. Um, major chair stop along the way. Um, I’m not going to film it because I’m just kind of not into filming for whatever reason on this trip. But, um, give you a quick view of the city center and then there’s a big, uh, chateau and some other stuff. Got to stop in there. So, this is the uh, city, the town of Amboy, one of those two. Hold on a second. Navigation here. So, we just left the city center and I’m on a kind of a quick detour and I think I’m going to go by the chateau ambula and and a couple other things. So, thought this was pretty cool. Well, I’m up at kind of elevation. I’m outside of Villa Lente or something like that. It’s like a old like hundreds of year old farming villages and behind each of these houses is like these vast farms. Anyway, just thought I’d film that. And uh Oh, now going into town, I guess. There’s a farmland. Haven’t been filming a lot, but my wife started yelling to film more because I’m not. But anyway, we’re coming into another town I’m going to probably pronounce. I’m Bliss, which is just east of Mboyce, which is probably Amb. But I’m going with Boyce right now. midsize city. Uh, if you look at my little device, it’s telling me to go six different directions, but I’m going that way. And I’ll give the camera another minute. See if we can get a better shot. The river Loir is obscured by trees as well as Boyce or Boyce. So, but if I don’t get a better shot, I think I’m going over the bridge. And that um looks like a nice town. Uh I’ll give you my quick afternoon rant. Um still no hogs in Europe. Um if you watched any of my videos last year, I went from Amsterdam to Zurich. All I did was say how Oh, here’s a fellow cyclist. This guy’s going pretty light. Bonjour. How was that? Bonjour. Anyway, Hagenas sounds like a European word. Oud look very pretty. Hagen sounds like a European word, but it was created in the Bronx, believe it or not, back I think in the 60s. So anyway, I’m still looking for hog and even in Germany, it sounds German. They didn’t know what that was either. So anyway, maybe I’ll get that. But they are big on the Magnum Pops, which are good. So those are my second favorites. Anyway, I’ll try to film a little more when I get in there. Okay, here’s a nice shot. Right now, my GPS says we’re not going over the bridge, but uh But but anyway, that’s the city of Bliss and I my rule is I follow the Eurabella signs first and then my GPS track, which I just pulled off the internet. Whoa, this isn’t the easiest. and then just go east. So, we’ll see what happens. Very beautiful. Hopefully, we go through there. Oh, look at that. See what the sign says. There’s two routes. I’m always following the Eurobelloo. No, Luir Aello. And it says to go straight in Shamboard, which is where Shamboard Castle is. So, take a nice shot. We’re not going there, but I don’t want to blue blaze as they say. So, so a little more video today. I learned some stuff about France. They call it, I think, like the French way of life. Liv, French l. Anyway, this is it having a beautiful old I guess kind of like cement brownstone type thing on the lir overlooking beautiful boy France. So very beautiful. Anyway, we’re keeping on the south side of the Mir today into Shamboard. We’re going to probably camp before Shamboard cuz tomorrow is a big day. We’re going to hopefully go to Shamboard Castle and then I got a hotel in Orlion. Oh, this is I’m in camp for the night. This is what they call a municipal campground. It’s one star, but in France, one star is great. There’s an office and electricity and a bath house and plenty of places to camp. And there’s a lara over there and a restaurant back there. So, let’s go check in. This is one of the typical ongoings at the campsites. They usually have like a kind of a restaurant or something. Tonight’s like Saturday night. They’ve got a band. Most of the songs they play are U American rock. Anyway, just try to show you this.
