Am Startpunkt befindet sich direkt die Stempelstelle Bremer Teich und in direkter Nähe zum Zielort Meisdorf befindet sich die Stempelstelle Mausoleum. Es ist also möglich, insgesamt 12 Stempelstellen zu erreichen.

Ein wichtiger Hinweis zu der Tour: Die Tour führt durch die Naturschutzgebiete Oberes Selketal und Selketal. Hier ist das Fahrradfahren in weiten Teilen verboten. Daher gibt es eine Menge Schiebepassagen (Insbesondere zur Burgruine Anhalt und den Eselsstieg hoch zur Burg Falkenstein).

Hello and welcome to my mountain bike tour! Today I am at the Bremer Teich in Gernrode in the northeast Harz Mountains. Today I will drive along the Selketal. We will see a lot today, there will be a lot of concentrated interesting points today. I’m assuming that most of the points are actually worth their own video, but today it’s all concentrated in one video. I hope you have fun! let’s go! Here is a railway crossing in the middle of the forest. What could that possibly be? This is the Selkebahn, it leads this way. And here is a railway crossing in the forest without a barrier, but unfortunately also without a train. Let’s come to our first stamping point of the day: The “Schirm” . I’ll show you these here. This is a point for hunting. This used to be a hunting lodge and today this stamp or Schirm still reminds us that this was once a hunting lodge. I’ll take a short break and then we’ll continue. So, I am now here at IV. Friedrichshammer. There were hammer mills on the Selke and they were numbered and here is the IV. Friedrichshammer. This is another stamp point and from here we go along the forest for a bit and to the next interesting point. 10% average does not mean that there is actually a 10% gradient over the entire route. Now it’s supposedly just 15%. The mountain-high torture was worth it. I’m now up here at the Anhalt castle ruins. You can see the castle ruins here. Not much of it remains, there are a few signs that you can look at. I’ll take a few photos here and then go a little way down to the stamp box and show it to you again. And then it goes back down into the valley. Here we are about 150 m above the Selketal, i.e. where we were at the last stamp point. So here is the stamp point of the Harzer Wandernadel under the ruins and from here it goes back down into the valley. The landscape of the Selketal is really beautiful. Even though the landscape is beautiful, the weather is not kind to me right now. I’ve been looking for a small bothy and I’m going to Mountain hut here for a moment and wait for the rain to pass. The Mettenberg refuge protected me well, right next door is the next stamp point for the Harzer Wandernadel, which matches the refuge. The Selke view should be up here, I also made a video about it. I’ll take a look at this first and then move on. Look how beautiful this is. [Music] You hear that people supposedly drive up here with strollers and stuff. So if you’re planning to visit the castle here and you’re traveling with a stroller or aren’t that good on foot: it’s better not to take the “Eselsstieg”, but rather take the long route. Falkenstein Castle is my absolute highlight here for this tour. The interesting thing is that large parts of it have been preserved, which means that it is still a functioning castle. We’ll drive in for a bit, see how far we can get and then we’ll go back down. Here’s where to go now. There is also an exhibition and you can look at the castle. We’re not doing that now, we want to continue, I still think it’s really nice. I take a few photos and then we head back down the mountain. It’s wonderful here too. The landscape park is really nice to go for a walk here. A real park to stroll through and enjoy and look at the trees and nature, absolutely worth seeing! Good thing there is a camera with a smell. This was properly fertilized with manure. Not only does it smell, it also clings to… Here is a quarry or a former quarry, the sign says: “No entry allowed, danger to life”. Yes, I’ll take a few photos and then we’ll move on. I have the impression, I don’t know if you can tell, but I have the impression that it is much more spring-like here than further up in the Harz, where we started. Can I take a photo of you? He drives in there. Now we go up to Konradsburg. The Konradburg is again a preserved castle and the special thing about the Konradsburg is that the Konradsburg was a monastery and was last used for agriculture. Oh, it’s beautiful here again, look at the great pond! I am on a cycle path that is well asphalted, really well, and also signposted for cyclists. He has the characteristic that there is constant headwind. It’s tiring to drive and I notice that I’m already pretty exhausted. I’m almost there, so everything’s good. But I can’t use that anymore. I am now in Maisdorf at the end of my tour. I hope you experienced a lot and saw a lot with me. Thank you for being there.
