Been going back and forth on this.[https://hudskibikes.com/products/doggler-gravel-bike?variant=40175738126399](https://hudskibikes.com/products/doggler-gravel-bike?variant=40175738126399)
I want a bike that can:
* climb steep hills
* explore gravel/offroad jeep trails
* bikepack
* be better on-road than an mtb
* be under $1500.00
quick specs on the Doggler:
***1-*** *Large 50c gravel tires*
***2-*** *PNW dropper seatpost (included on SLX builds)*
***3-*** *Shimano 12 speed drivetrain with a generous 10-51t cassette*
***4-*** *Properly wide and high rise handlebar with more sweep*
***5-*** *Threaded mounts under the down tube, and on the fork legs (along with all the standard locations) make it easy to attach extra gear, racks, fenders, or water.*
***6***\*- Highest quality Maxxis tubeless ready tires.\*
*roughly 25lbs weight*
I’ve never bikepacked before, but I’ve gone backpacking, car camping and motocamping quite a few times, so camping is something I know I enjoy.
I’m not a “fast” rider, so top speed is not something I’m concerned with.
Right now the Doggler seems to be ticking all the boxes. Are there any other alternatives that might be better?
