  1. If you’re in Hannover you should take the opportunity to visit Celle, a delightful town that boasts a very beautiful “Altstadt”. The old town has Europe’s largest contiguous collection of Fachwerk Häuser. It’s well worth a day trip just to stroll through the little lanes and maybe even catch a show at the Baroque theatre in the towns castle. Finish off with some wine or a meal… it’s quite charming and romantic.
Celle is just 50km from Hannover or around 30 min by car and or train.

Been living here for many years now and love it very much 😊❤

  2. I studied in Hannover. Due to is being a city for trade fairs, its public transport infrastructure is top notch.
There is a lot of green in thr city, the Eilenriede is a whole forest inside a city. The parks next to lake Maschsee are also nice to be in and close to the town hall depicted in the video.
If you like zoos, Hannover also has a pretty decent one. Their ice hockey team is also iconic (there's two actually, with the Indians having the better fan culture). And of course there's football, although Hannover 96 struggles to return to the first league for years now.

  3. Not me watching this as someone having loved all their life in or near Hannover, trying to get info on what to show friends visiting for the first time

  4. One thing I love about Hannover is its flourishing music scene, especially in classical music. The opera house is very good, as well as the NDR Radiophilharmonie (an orchestra of the radio and tv programme NDR). There’s also two of the best boy’s/ girl’s choirs in the world (Knabenchor Hannover and Mädchenchor Hannover). There are always good concerts to attend!

  5. So weird to have people go to your home for their vacation. I do the same when i go on vacation, going to someone elses home town, but it still feels weird xD

  6. My ancestors came from this town. They left in 1890. Out of all the states they chose Minnesota 😆 thanks great grandpa George! One day I will go back to my homeland!
