welcome to the enchanting city of edenburgh one of the most visited cities in Europe and one of my personal favorite cities I’ve ever been to in today’s video I’m going to take you on a journey through the top 10 muster activities in this amazing City from Iconic landmarks to Hidden gems these activities would be perfect to do over a 3 to 4 day stay in the city so grab your walking boots and let’s dive into the magic of Edinburgh let’s kick things off with the crown jewel of Edinburgh Edinburgh Castle this iconic Fortress has been watching over the city for more than a thousand years and stepping through its Gates feels like stepping back in time as you explore the castle grounds you’ll discover a treasure Trove of Scottish history from the crown jewels to the stone of Destiny which has been used in the coronation of Scottish Kings for centuries don’t miss s Margaret’s Chapel the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh dating back to the 12th century and if you’re around at 1:00 p.m. you’ll hear the famous 1:00 gun a tradition that started in 1861 to help ships synchronize their clocks the views from the castle are simply breathtaking giving you a panoramic look at the city below this is a must experience and allow at least half a day to visit Edinburgh Castle next we’re heading to one of edinburgh’s Best Kept Secrets Dean Village just a short walk away from the city center this tranquil Oasis feels like it’s a world away imagine in a place where time seems to stand still with charming cobblestone streets historic buildings and the gentle flow of the water of leaf winding through it all Dean Village was once the heart of edinburgh’s Milling industry and you can still see remnants of the past in the architecture take a leisurely stroll along the river and you’ll both history and Legend the graveyard is said to have inspired JK Rowling as she wrote the Harry Potter series with tombstones bearing names that resemble some of her characters most notably Thomas riddle which closely mirrors the name of Lord Voldemort and if you’re a fan of of the supernatural you might want to join one of the evening ghost tours that explor the Eerie side of GRA friers but whether you’re here for the history or the hauntings grf Fire’s kirkyard is a fascinating stop on your Edinburgh adventure for those looking to capture some of the best views in Edinburgh Calton Hill it for the stunning views you’ll get of the city and Beyond as you make your way along the rugged paths you’ll be able to see ARA sea the ancient volcano that forms the highest point in Edinburgh as well as the Sparkling Waters of the F or fourth in the distance if you want to venture into edinburgh’s dark and mysterious Underworld the Nur of the South Bridge vaults is just what you need hidden beneath the bustling streets of Edinburgh lies a series of underground Chambers known as the Edinburgh vaults these vaults were originally built in the late 18th century to house taverns workshops and storage spaces but over time they became home to some of the city’s poorest residents and were associated with crime and disease today the vaults are considered one of edinburgh’s most haunted locations with many visitors reporting e experiences on a guided tour you’ll explore these dark and narrow passages by lanter light hearing tales of the fal Grizzly history and the spirits said to performers and local artists often adding to the Lively Vibe and for Harry Potter fans this street is a special treat it’s said to have been one of The Inspirations for Diagon Alley and you’ll definitely feel the magic as you walk along earlier we explored gray Fryer’s kirkyard but now it’s time to pay tribute to one of edinburgh’s most beloved residents gray frers Bobby this local Sky Terrier captured the hearts of the people of Edinburgh with his unwavering Devotion to his master spending 14 years guarding his grave until his own passing today a statue of Bobby stands just outside gra fr’s kirkyard and has become a popular spot for visitors to stop and rub the dog’s nose for good luck [Music] and finally no trip to Edinburgh would be complete without a stroll down the Royal mile located in the old town the historic street is the Beating Heart of the City stretching from The Majestic Edinburgh Castle all the way to the Palace of Hollywood house the Royal mile is packed   1. everytime people do this type of video there alway do the same things there is more to edinburgh i wouldnt recommend 3 place you said its the same if i came to your city and did a video that you might not agree to many of theses same videos online i might have to set everyone straight

  3. DO NOT RUB GREYFRIARS BOBBY'S NOSE FOR GOOD LUCK. IT IS NOT A THING AND NEVER HAS BEEN> This really annoys me, most of my life that wee dog had a lovely black patinated nose until one irresponsible tour guide decided it would be fun to get their group to rub the dogs nose "for luck" the statue is now ruined and is getting worse. If you come to my city don't damage the statues look at them and enjoy them. @CJExplores, very irresponsible of you to encourage people to damage a statue that has been there and undamaged since 1873.
