October 25, 2025 – Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane Full Fight Highlights & Recap | UFC 321 (Las Vegas)
🥊 The UFC 321 main event ended in chaos — and heartbreak.
At UFC 321, heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall was set to defend his title for the first time against former interim champion Ciryl Gane in a highly anticipated clash of speed, power, and precision. But just as the fight was heating up, disaster struck — a brutal accidental eye poke from Gane stopped the contest in the final seconds of Round 1, resulting in a no contest.
The fight had started at a furious pace. Gane’s crisp jab bloodied Aspinall’s nose early, while the champion hammered back with heavy calf kicks and looping power shots. The exchanges had fans on their feet — until the accidental double eye poke at 4:35 of Round 1 left Aspinall unable to see out of his right eye. Referee Jason Herzog gave him time to recover, but after multiple failed attempts to clear his vision, the fight was waved off.
The aftermath was emotional — Gane apologized immediately, while Aspinall, clearly frustrated, addressed the crowd:
“Guys, I just got poked knuckle-deep in the eyeball… what are you booing for? This fight was just getting good — this is complete bullshit.”
It was a heartbreaking moment for both fighters, who had prepared for months for this showdown. UFC President Dana White confirmed post-fight that a rematch will likely be re-booked once Aspinall is medically cleared.

Tom Aspenol versus Sirill Gone has just wrapped up, but not how anyone expected. To put it plainly, it was limp dick on prom night. An anticlimactic end to a fight we’ve all waited for. From the beginning, Gon marched forward, slipping punches, but couldn’t get out of the way of a body kick. Aspenol rushed after him, ignoring kicks and jabs to hurl his big right hand, knocking Gone back to the wall. Every collision was a car crash of danger with these heavyweights, and Gan had already bloodied Aspenol’s nose early. When Aspenol shot for a takedown, the Frenchman bucked him aside without concern. Aspenol fired off a high kick that pounded into the raised guard while Gan bounced on his toes looking for his sharp jab. The action was fast and violent. Aspenol spinning with back kicks. Gone stomping the front leg and peppering with jabs that were blooding up the Brit more and more. Then disaster struck. They crashed together with punches and Gon’s fingers pushed off and scraped both of Aspenol’s eyes. Herszog immediately called time as Aspenol walked to the cage and leaned on it. The doctor was called in and the replay showed both eyes were impacted. Aspenol appeared to tell the doctor he couldn’t see. the worst possible outcome. Herszog gave him a towel and more time, handling the situation like a consumate professional. But when asked again if he could see, Aspenol said no. Herzog had no choice but to declare the heavyweight championship out of no contest due to accidental eye poke. Learning this news, Gone collapsed to the ground in tears and fans abandoned ship departing the building. What should have been a heavyweight war ended in heartbreak at 4:35 of round one. It’ll be interesting to see what Jon Jones has to say about this, but let me know your thoughts in the comments down below on this unfortunate ending, and I’ll keep you guys in the loop with all future fights. Be sure to leave a like and subscribe if you guys enjoy.

Do You Want To See This Rematch? 🤔
Ciryl is now known as captain insane-o for his eye gauging abilities
YWLL TALK ALL YOUR TRASH HE WAS GIVING TOM FITS. FACTS
Aspinal isn't as strong as people thought. He's ok which I've always known but doesn't meet the hype. people who became crazy fans with him were doing so really because of the skin color cause of how he was marketed ⁰
Tom got dp'd
Tom struggled against the man Jones manhandled. Tom isn't ready for Jones. Only idiots would think so.
Well, this was some bullshit
Jon jones son
Throw some sand in his eyes
He was being dominated by gane he saw his way out and took it what a joke and he was calling jj out clown 😂😂😂😂
I give the fight to the one that controls the center of the ring.
And he wants to fight Jon Jones😂As a brit i can admit that would be embarrassing. Tom would look like a fish out of water. My stats arent the best but the last time i seen an eye poke in a heavyweight title fight was when dc eye poked stipe and stipe knocked him the fuck out. It was an easy escape for tom in a fight he was never going to win
stupid voice over
If Jones ducked Aspinal, he was right to do so. He doesn't want to fight a guy who can't even beat someone Jones already defeated.
Aspinall was already having a fight with Ciryl Gane his nose was bloody and when the eye poke incident happen he just delared it a no contest he quit! Aspinall don't have the grit and dog in him to continue the match and you need that to have a chance vs Jon Jones this hypejob gets destroyed by Jones!
Alot of morons saying that eye poke didnt do anything smfh idiots
Not even a video
Tom Who?!!
JOHNNY BONES JONES CHAMP! 505…
No, it will not be interesting to see what jones has to say. Him and Connor need to shut up and go away.
Didn't look like accident!
An eyepoke is an eyepoke. Accidental or not. If they start DQ'ing people that do it, it will stop. Or….legalize it so everyone can.
They did not scrape they they GOUGED deeply, moron. And who gives a shit what Jon Jones thinks. He's nobody. As are you. Scraped, what a joke.
I had one eye gouged just like that and if fractured my orbiyal socket. And guess what? I could not see a damn thing. You idiots know nothing of fighting to think gouges are nothing. Tell you what, let us all watch you take a deep gouge to both eyes from Gane and lets see you fight on. The damage from my gouge was just as bad and the damage from it blinded me in that eye 6 years later. No doubt he could suffer the same.
Should have been a disqualification. It was 100% Intentional. At no point should fingers be extended at the end of a punch and Gane NEVER retracted his fingers after feeling eye balls. He just drove deeper and deeper into his sockets. Gane should be banned from the UFC for attempting to harm permanently. In the rematch if it happens I hope Aspinall gouges fingers deep in Ganes eyes from the opening bell. Because if its not illegal than hey, what's good for the goose right? Jones never got disqualified, worked for him in every fight. So blind everyone Aspinall until drunk ass cocaine boy Dana White bans it then it is a fighting tactic, not a penalty. I have had my fill off UFC now. Dana White needs to set standards to obide by. A no contest my ass. Why not just bring a hatchet in the octagon. Ignorant fans will just call him a soft fighter and not a guy wrongfully fouled.
I think the I poke was on purpose. In slow motion it looked intentional.
Drill gane
Jon🦆jones would’ve prolly did the same thing to get out of fighting Tom
Rlly need my Adblock man
Jones would murder this boy.. lmao
Blatant foul, it should never been ruled a no contest. Cyril should of been disqualified, he stuck his fingers out multiple times and was warned and still went mid knuckle deep into his left eye and poked his right eye also. What surprised me was the right eye was worse off than the left considering cyrils finger was knuckle deep into his left eye. FFS Dana change some rules or change the gloves, eye pokes should not be dictating the outcome of championship fights.
I hope Tom heals up and
Comes back stronger to wipe the floor with gane.
🙏🏻🇬🇧
