Almost done! I will be sewing a custom frame bag, and putting on a rear rack to bike pack this thing 30 miles to camp over night. Please don’t roast me if you’re a road bike enthusiast, this is my first bike I’ve ever built from scratch… This project is for fun, I come from skateboarding and bmx style riding. Obviously Single speed/fixed gear is not ideal for bike-packing, but thats part of the challenge!
The purpose of this build was to do it on a tight budget… bike cost 296$ total. I wanted to get it under 150$ but made some mistakes. Ive learned a-lot, and I think I could have built it cheaper if I played my cards right.
Both tires need to be replaced, and will need new rims too, but for the challenge we shall see if it makes it!
Still have no idea what frame this is??? I know that it is Italian because of the bottom bracket.
Any suggestions? Comments?
