Had a really mysterious intermittent ticking coming from my drive train, I tried all the classic fixes for creaks and noise. Ended up taking the cassette off and this sliver of aluminium where the spline has to get really thin to accommodate the bite guard was hanging off. I accidentally bent it and ended up having to rip it off. The tick is now gone but do we think this is safe to ride? I did a very gentle 60k on it today too check the tick was gone but I've realised the freehub might be compromised somehow. Would really appreciate hearing about any experience of this issue 🙂 Cheers!
