Bit of a phrase throw in the kitchen sink. What they throw everything in. Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. If you’re new, my name is Macy. Hey guys. Hey. What’s up? How are you guys doing? Hope you all are doing well. So, as you guys can tell down in the title of the video, in this video, I want to share with you guys my bike tour ride that I did when I was in Cardiff, Wales, UK. And then later on in the video, I’m going to share some photos where I went and toured the BBC of Wales, which is where they do their news. So, I thought I would leave the sound on. So, don’t be surprised if I’m not talking, but I really wanted you guys to immerse yourself in the video and really listen to the natural sounds, like hear what I heard. So, this is the guy that owns the Bike Touring Company. I’ll leave his information linked down below. I think he did a really good job. We were riding all around Wales, Cardiff specifically. And he was teaching us about the city, the culture, and I really was excited. So you guys enjoy the video. And also at the end of our tour, we got Welsh cakes. Oh no, y’all. Please don’t laugh at my facial expressions, but to be fair, it had been years since I rode a bike. And I was really trying to document this experience. Um, I wanted it for memories. So, it was really nice just cruising through the park. It was definitely an amazing experience and I was so happy to be there. Like, yeah, it was cool. clock tower and they all right then. Um they built a bachelor apartment in it. By the time they finished they got married. So whatever was during that bachelor. So this big building that you guys are looking at now is the principality stadium and this is where they play their rugby games. There are also other events that go on at the stadium as well. And so I really look forward to going there one day and watching a live rugby game. This was an amazing bike ride because I really liked seeing the leaves fall off the trees. I loved looking at the architecture. Our host was very amazing at explaining everything. This is me admiring the city, admiring my big old helmet. And then also, we just had a good time. Right now, we’re on our way to Cardiff Bay. We were so excited, you guys. and you’re not allowed to ride your bike on this path. So, we got off our bikes and began to walk up to the path. So, um as you may have noticed, the far off 1999 put this in. So, this is fresh water where the river tie meets and then if you notice the other side was the sea. So, we had fresh water one side, salt water the other. Um when they uh built this sort of measure, what they lost was the tidal element. I was wondering uh uh well, so now I want to talk a little bit about this statue that you will see in the heart of Cardiff. I thought it was beautiful. The details of it was amazing and yeah, I just wanted to share it with you. So her name is Betty Campbell. She was born and raised in but town Cardiff as a workingclass black woman. She overcame barriers and prejudice throughout her life and she wanted to be a teacher but was told that she wouldn’t be a teacher and that she would have problems. Well, Betty made her dreams come true. She was determined to reach her goals and became a teacher in 1973 and this made her the first black head teacher in Wales. She was very passionate about diversity um inclusion and wanted education to be for all. She spoke about having a dream just like Martin Luther King that all children in but town would live in a world free from pollution, from racism and have amazing opportunities. She was also awarded a reward, the MBE, and Betty passed away in 2017. And she was chosen by the people of Wales to be the first named Welsh woman to be immortalized in a bronze public statue, ensuring that her legacy lives on. got shelves around here. But yeah, they basically go into the coal mines. They’re kind of afraid to the kitchen sink at what they throw everything in. Yeah, exactly. And so these are some very famous rugby players that he was telling us about. The one in the middle finally ended up getting an award. He should have gotten the award a long time ago, but because he was black, they didn’t give it to him. So, they finally did. And then these are two of my friends that I met. So, now let’s move along to the tour that I did at the BBC in Wales, UK. Crestle, welcome, Kim Rail Wales. Now, you’re not able to do live video recording there. You can only take pictures. So, I’ll talk you guys through the photos. So, this is what you see right when you walk in through the doors. You have this big old sign that says that. And then I decided to take this just because I am learning Welsh and I wanted to come back and break it down and see if I could say it and translate what it means. But I thought I would take that photo. And then this is me standing in one of their many newsrooms. I really like the color. you know, we were able to take pictures and it was a really nice experience. And then they also have the BBC radio kimu and this is just saying red warning live broadcasting. They showed us where they do the podcast and different things. This is another picture of what it looks like on the inside. And then I am you guys’s Welsh newscaster today. We got to take pictures there. This is where they actually do the news, which I thought was fascinating. I was so happy. I was so excited. BBC Wells today. This is where they do some other recording, voice acting as well. And then this is more photos. It’s very beautiful in there. What do you think, guys? Am I ready to be y’all’s new Welsh anchor? And more photos. Very, very nice facility. Very beautiful. So, anyways, thank you guys so, so much for watching this video and I’ll talk to you soon. Cheers.
