Today, I rode a road to a popular Welsh spot with bikers and non bikers alike. Holiday makers, day trippers or locals, all enjoy knab rock on the mumbles coastline. Along the Gower peninsula, you are guaranteed stunning views with many more stunning beaches as you continue round the coast.
Autumn and winter allow for quieter rides, and Verdis cafe / restaurant being open year round has great food, warm drinks along with their own cakes & Italian ice cream promises a great pit stop.
I’ve included some footage as I head out through Swansea city on my way to a bike night.
I’ve added a new #shoutout ‘s biker style nod to friends and pooches who support me.
Please consider subscribing, like & and comment, and I’ll endeavour to do more shoutouts.
Any suggestions for local rides or places to visit much appreciated.
I’m thoroughly enjoying Roar, my Harley Davidson sportster XL1200T Superlow. Filtering is easier with loud pipes, though my Mr. reminded me no one can hear me speaking to them. 🤣
As always, I’m a budget toutuber, so I appreciate your understanding of my limitations in content creation.
Thanks for your support.
Ride safe,
LJ

Can you see the sea? I can see the sea. You can definitely see the sea now. Honey. [Music] You see over there there’s actually a um an old lifeboat station um with the whole ramp and everything. It’s a good one to do in the winter because it’s not as busy in the summer. In the summer it’s absolutely gridlock when you get further down some of the coast, some of the um beaches, you know. I can smell the sea. I live by the sea and I can’t often smell it. It’s uh it’s funny cuz we’re uphill. Um don’t often smell it. The sun shining on the other side. [Music] Crazy golf. And there’s a kids play park up here. [Laughter] used to take my kids to when we first moved here. Little monkey. We’re coming past the yach club. And this is bird is on the left. It’s also known as nab rock. It’s n k n a d. And uh you can see why um in front of me. And if you’re a car, you need to go in there. And us bikes. We sneak over here. We get pretty photos. photo opportunity. This is Ry’s. [Music] Thanks for the pictures. [Music] Yeah. So, it’s a lovely place to visit and I do think when you live by the sea sometimes you take it for granted. I haven’t stopped for anything to eat at Birdies today because um just a bit cuz the time just came for a bit of a meander, but it’s absolutely stunning. Um homemade ice cream, Italian, and food is fantastic. Service is always lovely. Um it is really busy. It’s open all year round, so it’s not a seasonal thing. If you’re in the area, fancy somewhere to come. the guy that was just uh was fishing um he was just saying that there’s a guy that comes down like five days a week and it’s another monkey bike. Um he’s uh around 5 days a week and he comes from Swindon which is 2 and 1/2 hours riding and um each way. So that’s a chunk of the journey. But it is truly that beautiful of a place that people really do come here on holiday and day trips. [Applause] We actually do um running events and things along the coastline here. I’ve done uh 5k races with my eldest girl some years back. Interesting fact when um when we have a storm out by me, we are on the same estry as Swansea, but Swansea is basically at the end of the estry and the sand, this is crazy, right? The sand that is taken from the storms at my end quite often quite significant. You know five dunes are taken to 10 feet drops and things like that which it just takes sea comes in so high and the sand comes down here and it’s quite often along the seafront prominard. So, if you’re running or um cycling, um skating, that sort of thing, you will invariably find patches of sand and and like it may actually make things really awkward. Um well, when it’s a big storm, they’ll scoop it all up afterwards and sell it. And I always think they should just bring it back cuz we’re only like 12 miles up the road. Bring it back. Bring it back. We need it. We can’t keep the gra in our land. So yeah, so you come to Swansea after a big storm, there’s loads of sand where I look at my house, it’s from there. [Applause] I might need to filter some of this now. It’s a bit slow. Holiday mode needs to switch off. I’ll get petrol first and then uh get out of Swansea a little bit faster. [Applause] going to have to filter my way out of the city. So, I won’t show you all of it. Hopefully, won’t be too long. Definitely a time to filter. [Applause] And on the left hand side in a little while you will see an old Victorian prison which is uh onesie. There we are. There’s a prison on the left hand side. W a little bit high [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] through the gap. Loud pipes definitely help when you’re filtering. Trying not to take out any wing mirrors while I’m at it. Try not to frighten this learner driver. You all right? Hey, you all right? Yeah. You okay? You’re miles away then, huh? I said you’re miles away then on your phone. Yeah. So, thanks for watching. If you haven’t already, please subscribe. Numbers are creeping up. I think I’m at 290. It’s quite funny to watch. So, uh, thanks for watching. Don’t forget to comment and like and all that business. It does help. And it’s lovely to know if you’re out there and what you enjoy doing. Any areas in the local area where you think I can make videos. Someone said to me, suggested I um make videos on uh repairs and and things like that. But in honesty, my bikes are out on the road. Um I think my neighbors would think I was insane if um if I sat outside talking to a camera while fixing things on my bike. So, uh, here I think the bus driver expected me to [Music] [Music] [Music]

Hi, Good video for me. I grew up in Mumbles 83 years ago and it still looks the same (almost). moved to Australia sixty years ago and I now live in Bundaberg, Queensland. Still riding, I have a Harley Softail 107. Back in wales in 1959 I had a Triumph T110 and others. I was out this morning on the HD we had 28 C. I'm now 83 in case you are wondering and ride every day. Keep up the Videos. Nice to see the old place. Graham
When I was a kid I lived by the sea. Normal waterline was maybe 90-100m from our fence, by crows flight. With stronger autumn and spring storms, we had to pick seaweed out of our fence. / Three Harley riders stop at the traffic light. One of them shouts: "My transmission is making a strange whine." Second one shouts: "I think about three fifteen." Third one shouts: "Me too! Lets get some burgers?"
