Solo Cycling Trip Across Two Counties Herts to Beds and Back ! Would you guys cycle this far ?
Well, hello everyone. You join me on a a mini vlog. I’m currently in the middle of nowhere near the town of Bulldock and Hertfordshire and I am riding on my bike as you can see to Bedfordshire most probably Stockfold which is on the border between Hartford and Bedfordshire. So, this is ain’t going to be much. It’s going to be me riding through some beautiful countryside as you can see. But join me on my journey on my bike to Bedfordshire. Just look at the absolutely beautiful countryside of Harfordshire. My phone camera doesn’t really do it justice. Even though this is an iPhone 15, it still doesn’t really do the view justice. You can see for absolute miles. All right, enough talking. Let’s go. Bedford cheer here we come. or most likely Bulldog first then Bedfordshire. Here we come. Now I must admit I have been a bit naughty. I did start this journey in Stevenage which is around 3 mi south of here maybe 4 miles south. So I have started this a little bit late but still this should be a very good journey. I don’t think it’ll take me too long. I’ve already been riding for 40 minutes. I’ve known nearly 6 milesi from my house. So let’s see how long it will take me to get to Bedfordshire. So here we are to suddenly getting overtaken by a car. We arrived in Bulldog. So I’m just about to leave Bulldog now to go to Stockfold. Only a few more miles to go. And then we are in Bedford here. But look at this church. Absolutely beautiful. Lovely Gothic architecture. Okay, let’s continue to Bedfordshire. Well, we are nearly there. Just another half a mile and then we will be in Stockfold. As you can tell by my voice, I’m pretty shattered. I’ve done nearly 10 miles now and I still got to go back. But anything for content on Tik Tok and YouTube. Nearly there, lads. Not far off now. I’m getting so many dodgy looks holding the phone out by riding the bike, but I don’t care. Now, one way you can tell I’m actually in Bedford Cheer is by the bus signs. They are different to what they are in Harfordshire. In Harford, they’re yellow and green. In Bedford Cheer, I think they’re just completely light green. I’ll show you when we get there. And if you guys needed proof, I’m in Bedford Cheer. There you go. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to work that one out. So, where is Scotfold? Well, Scott is a very small town on the border between Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. It’s not very big. It doesn’t even have a train station and most places in this country have a train station. So, let’s go and have a look around the center of this town. Well, here we are at the first roundabout in Stockfold. Look at this lovely cycle path which I have the privilege to ride on. To be honest, I wasn’t even going to do a a vlog today, but I thought whilst I’m out, whilst I’m in the lovely countryside and whilst I’m going to a different county, it’ll make it interesting. Look at my hair. I need a haircut. So, my only real purpose today was actually to test out my new camera quality of my phone. I’m very impressed so far. Let me know if you guys uh can tell the difference between my old iPhone 11, which I used for my vlog to Darham, and this one. That sign’s a little bit outdated now. Well, according to my maps, this is the center of Stockfold. Not very much here to do. Very small town, but it’s very nice. It’s in a lovely area of the countryside near the Shiltons and then not far from the likes of Cambridge and Senit and St Ives in Cambridge here not in Cornwall. Now to the right of me is Stockfall football club just outside of the town center. Ahead of me some hikers, some walkers probably doing the local trails around here which are very nice. So, just here at the football club in Stockfold. Looks like there’s a game on today. It’s very busy, but I think this is the furthest I’m going to go. So, now let’s head back home. Now, for reference, I’ll put on the screen when I when I edit this video how far I’ve done today. Okay, I think it’s time to head back home. I’ve been out here for a good hour and 20 minutes. I’ve covered 11 miles in an hour and 20 minutes. That’s not too bad for a bike, but there’s not much else really to see here. So, let’s head back. Wow, this is going to be a long journey back. Just at the edge of Stockfall now. Just as I’m leaving Stockfold, sign to go back into Hertfordshire. It’s weird because on the other side there’s no sign at all to say you’re in Bedfordshire. You just got to kind of know stop fold in Bedford cheer to tell that you’re in Bedford cheer. Okay, let’s go. Goodbye Bedford cheer. Hello heart for cheer. Now let’s get some miles behind us. Wish me luck everyone. I’ve got to go up this hill and it’s a lot steeper than you think it is. So, after that really difficult hill, which took me so long, I’ve finally got a bit of stretch of downhill. You can see the the views are absolutely lovely where I’m currently parked at. Oh my god, that was difficult. You know, it’s the worst hill I’ve ever done. Well, especially as before I did that hill, I’ve done over 15 miles. But not long to go now. About 5 miles until I get home. Jesus. I will end the vlog as soon as I get back into Steven Cage. But for now, I’m just going to focus and get going cuz I still have another well, another half an hour, 40 minutes perhaps. But as it’s mostly downhill, probably a little bit less. Let’s do it. So nearly back in Stevenage now. This is the way I came to go to Bedfordshire via a little village called Weston. Now from where I am in the town of Stevenage, it’s probably the quickest way to go. Only a couple more miles now and we’re finally back in Stevenage. So, I finally made it back to Stevenage, just on the basically on the edge of Stevenage. This is where I’m going to I’m going to keep riding wild vlog. So, this is where I’m going to end the vlog or the mini vlog. Probably by the time I edit this all back, it’s going to be a vlog. Well over 20 minutes of footage. I’d just like to thank everyone who’s uh watched this. If you’re seeing us on Tik Tok or YouTube for the first time, please subscribe and follow. It’ll mean a lot to me. There’s more content planned soon in the future trips out of the UK. Until then, see you next time.
