Picked this guy up for $20 yesterday. Still had the original tires on it albeit in a dry-rotted state. My plan was to steal the fenders from it for my bike since new ones are significantly more expensive than that. In the end, I couldn’t separate it. It was just in too good of condition. I spent about five hours today with my 14 year-old, tearing it apart to deep clean and grease all the hubs/bearings. Unfortunately, it is too large of a bike for me so I’m going to see if my neighbor wants it. I understand it makes no financial sense between the $50 pair of tires. I had to put on it as well as a new TPU innertube and brake shoes, but it’s a 1978 made in USA classic. (It looks more red in the picture, but it is a copper brown.)
