In a thrilling display of cycling prowess, Primo’s Ragglitch emerged victorious at the inaugural Andor cycling masters, outperforming cycling giants Tadi Pogachar, Isaac Del Toro, and Jonas Vingard. But here’s where it gets controversial. Was this event a mere exhibition or a glimpse into the future of cycling competitions? Representing Red Bull Bora Hands Grow, Ragglitch secured 55 points across two grueling events, edging out Del Toro 51 points. Pogachar 42 points and Vingagard 36 points. This unique race intentionally excluded from UCI rankings aimed to redefine cycling by offering a format distinct from traditional stage races or criteriums. A bold move that has sparked debate among fans and experts alike. The action kicked off at 900 a.m. with a time trial on the infamous Call Deagena, a horse category climb renowned for its relentless incline. Starting from Bixasari, the 8.23 km ascent boasted a staggering 750 m elevation gain. Rogoolich dominated with a time of 2539 followed by Pogachar 2559, Del Toro 2805 and Vingagard 2924. And this is the part most people miss, the strategic battle between Pokear and Del Toro, which Rogoolich later described as both challenging and exhilarating. Just 2 hours later at 11:00 a.m. the quartet reconvened in Andor Leavella for the urban circuit race. Over 15 laps of a 2.14 km loop. Del Toro clinched the win, narrowly beating Roglitch, while Pogachar settled for third. Rogich’s postra comments to Laquip hinted at the camaraderie and rivalry among the riders, leaving fans eager for a rematch next year. But the question remains, can this format sustain the excitement of traditional races? Adding to the buzz, organizers have announced a 50 to 55minute documentary about the event set to premiere on a major international streaming platform. Will this film solidify the Andor cycling masters as a groundbreaking innovation or just a one-off experiment? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Do you think this new format has what it takes to revolutionize cycling, or is it destined to remain a niche
