Okay, quick breakfast stop along the rine and Switzerland and Germany are Switzerland’s pretty awesome. They have all over the place these like picnic kind of camping areas down there. I saw a lean to which you can camp at and you can come here and enjoy the day. Uh trail goes that way. So I’m not gonna get too far down here. I don’t want to go swimming today. But nice day and hopefully we make it decent way to shop out. Well, we’re in the beautiful city of Laughenberg and I’m off route, but it’s Sunday and I have to find somewhere to eat. So small, maybe not a city, but beautiful old town on the river. So the river is right on the other side there. I’m not going through the square today, but just want to show it to you. Okay, so that’s Cooblins, Germany. Very, very pretty city. Uh it’s on the Rine. And I was in Coblins last summer when I did the Eurovilla 15 coming uh southbound out of uh the Netherlands and then all through Germany. Um anyway, very beautiful city. It’s Sunday. Everything’s probably closed except for a couple of cake shops. I read somewhere that on Sundays it’s a tradition in Germany to go out in the afternoon and have cake and coffee. So last year I remember being here on a Sunday and everything was pretty much closed and there was just people sitting eating cake. I never saw that before. Anyway, I looked it up. So anyway, the route skirts coblins. I’m not going in because uh I’ve been there and uh I just too tired to go off the route today. But it’s just pointing that out. Hey, Monday, September 1st. The unofficial summer is over. We still got another month of it. Beautiful campground. I stayed here last year when I came down the Rine right on the river. I didn’t film because I was hanging out with a Dutch guy and a a German last night. People, they have a trail that goes way up there and people float down the river and get out and do it all the time. Uh, forgot the name of where I am, but Ho Hoken uh, uh, Germany. We’re in Germany now. Plan is today once I get up this hill is to cruise into Shaen, stop for lunch at the falls, maybe breakfast, second breakfast, and then go out to Lake Constants. Not like in America, all the Swiss kids riding their bikes to school up the mountains. I guess they have lights on their bikes because they probably do this in the dark in winter. Anyway, very pretty. Still about I don’t know 5 miles out of shopping, but and I’m getting lapped by the local school kids today. All right. So today and tomorrow are the big climbs. After tomorrow, it’s downhill all the way to Budapest. This is a busy intersection. All the kids are going to school. All the big kids are going the same direction as me. It looks like the high school must be this way. Oh, [Music] nice place to live. So, I had a long conversation with a woman in the grocery store. This is Wheel W Switzerland. Doesn’t look like much over here, but it’s a beautiful hilltop town with very old houses surrounded by pasture. And apparently um they have rail into uh downtown Zurich and it’s only 30 minutes and it they go every half hour. So this is this is she kind of didn’t say it but this is like living in a high-end suburb outside a big uh city. Anyway, and this is this how it looks when you leave the town. I should know I think that’s the Danube. maybe the rind, but I’m pretty sure it’s the down. And this is coming up to the uh what I’ve heard it referred to as the Niagara Falls of Switzerland. I was in Germany this morning getting food. No, I was in Switzerland this morning getting food. Then I was in Germany and Now I’m back in Switzerland. There’s something like 150 miles of the Eurov 6 in Switzerland. Uh-oh, we got an issue over there. Okay, here we are, boys and girls. I was here last year. It was beautiful sunny day. There was million people here. Now it’s uh Monday morning. It’s kind of rainy and it’s only 9:00. But anyway, those are the falls. And that’s the town of shop now. So, we got to climb up there. And then Lake Constants, another 20s something miles. So, very pretty. If that was open, I’d go to Slo. One last view. It looks like all the flags are here. I don’t see the American flag. Last year the American flag was here, but it’s the way it goes. Had to take a picture of this. First no smoking sign I’ve ever seen in Europe.
