I like the idea of starting with a single speed bike because it's what I rode growing up. Also, flat pavement is all I will be riding on. I would mostly be using this for riding on a local bike trail and commuting to work, which is about 3 miles down a single paved city road. I would just like to ask those of you with more experience if this is indeed a good starting point for me getting into cycling. Thanks!
