Hi. Yeah, I’m in Liverpool. It’s the town hall and I’m here for the river of light. Well, it’s just gone five. It’s not even dark. Um, but I’ll show you the first one cuz I’ve got 10 to get through. So, I think by the time I get to the others, it will be dark. But I’ll show you this anyway. This is in exchange flags. Look at that. I’ve got me list. I’ve highlighted them where they are and what they are. Um, So, I mean, you can still see this lit up now. Exchange flags. So, this one’s called Embraced. I’ll find the um the info about it in a minute. Look amazing when it’s dark. Ideally, I would have liked to have come later, but sorry. It’s okay. Don’t worry. Thank you. But yeah, I’m um I’m getting back home handy about 8:00 maybe. Um because we’re we have like a WhatsApp Halloween family quiz. My daughter organizes it. Me nieces and my nephew as well. So this is Embrace. The artist is Beam Hacker. Embrace is a circle of 15 glowing figures that light up and play sounds when people hold hands, creating a human circuit. Oh, that’s lovely. It shows how touch connects us, creating beautiful patterns and music as more people join in. Oh, that’s lovely, isn’t it? Let’s see. Let’s have a go. Just stand there. They just need more people. It’ll be lovely later, you know, when it’s darker and more people are like interacting. Um, so yeah, I’m sorry. This one’s not going to be the darkest one. Um, because it’s still daylight and I need to get back for 8:00. So, that’s one ticked off me list. It looks lovely though, doesn’t it? I can imagine it being lovely. Um, all the people are dancing. Yeah, I can imagine it being lovely when the more people that um interact with it. Anyways, maybe one day before it finishes, I’ll come back when it’s dark. If I’ve got time before I finish, I’ll uh come back. This isn’t part of it, but look, I’ve just tried the door. doesn’t open, but it’s an old um telephone box and it’s changing color. Looks good, doesn’t it? Anyway, this is just a bonus for you cuz it’s not part of the um River of Light. Wow. Some beginning to set. Look at that. Wow. That is stunning, isn’t it? This one’s called Neuron. I wish it was darker. Signs of light. Neuron. Artist oneto studio. Neuron is a light display inspired by how the brain works. It shows how brain cells send messages to help us learn and think. The lights turned this idea into fun and simple experience what everyone can enjoy. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. Sorry, you know how um fascinated I am with um sunsets. This one’s called Cycle Serge Mahu. Sorry about the pronunciation. Cipher is a fun interactive light display inspired by the sun and moon. It lights up your space with changing colors and brightness. Okay. It’s the market. I went there earlier on today. That’s the pendulum. It’s amazing how dull it’s gone now since um sunset. It’s pretty, isn’t it? I’ve got me broly that I had to buy from Primark. But up to now with these lights, I haven’t been caught in any rain. the signs of light. That’s the map, but I’ve got it all written down anyway. Oh, look at that cloud. This is beautiful. I’ve been watching this from a distance. When it’s even darker, it’s going to look stunning, isn’t it? I’m doing all right for time. I think this is the fourth one that I’ve seen. Wow, look at that. So pretty. Let’s get closer. Right. So I see now here comes the rain. It’s not too soon. Here comes Serena. We just came from I told you that cloud was ominous. Please stop me blowing. Protect my phone. Really? Pendulum artist amigo and amigo. They’re regular um artists for the river of light. Pendulum is a glowing artwork that moves back and forth. People can push light spheres to make waves of light and sound. It’s playful, interactive, and shows how gravity creates beautiful motion. Okay, let’s go on to the next. Three graces. Everyone’s sheltered, right? This is within water. We just go a bit nearer. The info is there. I can’t read it from here. I’ll go over in a minute. That’s a hand, isn’t it? Need it to be pitch black. Really, don’t we? Right within water. The artist is yellow studio. Within water is a light show in Liverpool’s Fearhead Canal. It’s inspired by sea creatures that glow in the dark. This is called Buminance. Illuminance. Yeah. In the middle is a sculpture of a hand that starts the lights when it touches the water. The artwork shows how people, nature, and light are connected. Okay. So, the flow of the water, isn’t it? touches the hand. I’ve just been down there, but I’ve walked all the way that way just to get to the um info. This is Dandelion. single title. This is by Dandelion by Amigo Amigo. Dandelion is a glowing sculpture that comes to life every 5 minutes. Inspired by nature, it uses light, sound, and movement to show how dandelion seeds float in the wind. It blends signs with art beautifully. Smells Come on. Hello. keep going to put your hand on something, then somebody else puts their hand on it. So, it’s okay. It’s nice to let other go. Especially the kids. Cheese. Right. Should we have the next one? One island. Daddy. This is face value. Heat. Heat. soft, steady eyes, a little tired yet sound, framed by a dark hood, mid30s, perhaps with faint stubble and calm lips as if the tie has settled. Looks like a quiet wander back from Stanley Park. Cold Baltic, breath mistake, thoughts drifting like a river edi after scream. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Good morning. Heat. Heat. How it’s different. Face value from Emma Brass and Vener Clue Tikov. Face Value is a fun art show where a robot takes pictures of people in the crowd and draws them. These illustrations and sounds are shown on big screens. It explores how people think about technology and the effect it has on our identity. Right, I’ve got three more to do now. So, I’m heading to Soul’s House Dock and Salt Soul’s House Key and Liverpool one. Right. This is Spicer by one Fuentes Studio. Again, Spicer is a bright light star that moves and shines like real stars. Using one of the Einstein’s ideas, it shows how stars make light through energy. This artwork helps us feel close to space and reminds us we are all made of stardust. Okay. All right. Okay. It’s starting again now. Another one. Not yet. pick it up. Oh, sweet. Not really impressed with that one. Maybe it’ll be better when it’s darker. Um, I’ve got so much to do in the next few days and nights. So, I don’t know when I’ll be back to do it. That’s why I’m doing it now, even though it’s not pitch black. I’ve got one more over there to do. No, I’ve got two more over there and live for one. I say if I get time before it all finishes, I’ll come again at night. But at least for now, you’ve seen what’s available at the River of Light. And if you’re local and you want to come and see it properly in the dark, it’s from 5:00 onwards and the clocks go back an hour on Saturday night, Sunday morning before bed. Don’t forget that. Ah, these remember the other day our videos, didn’t I? And I said, I wonder what they are. Well, the little huts of food. So, now I know. It’s pretty, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s better. I’ve come prepared. I’ve wrote all the installations down and the order that I intended to video them, and I found them straight away. It’s easier to go from exchange flags where the town hall is and then go like Man Island and the pier head etc from there and work your way this way. And I’m in the right direction for me train as well to get home and get prepared for the um the family Halloween WhatsApp quiz. We do them like Christmas and Easter. Um, so it’s nice to do the Halloween one. I don’t Did I do a Halloween one with them last year? I’m not sure. I think I only joined at Christmas. Join the group. Right. So, this one Blueprint studio vertigo. Well, that’s good, isn’t it? Blueprint is a big light artwork shaped like DNA. It is 20 m long. The lights change colors to show parts of the DNA. It also makes sounds that change, showing how DNA is always moving. See, it’s getting darker now. So, the colors are coming more vibrant. I really want to see all this when it’s pitch black. Right, I’ve got one more and that’s at um Oh, doesn’t that look lovely? The poor one. As you can see, it’s getting darker now. Look at that. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Sorry, back to the blueprint. So, I reckon if you are going to come, come after 6:00 cuz it’s um 10 6 now and it’s just only really going dark. Just one more to go across the road. Anyway, look at the strand. It’s busy, isn’t it? It’s chas daffodil. Looks lovely all lit up, doesn’t it? Still haven’t been on it for a couple. I’ve just missed that. It’s like a Catherine wheel type thing. All the colors. Look at that. That’s darker now. Right. So, this is optic. And all in all, it’s took me like an hour and 15 minutes to do all this. Oh, check. There you go. I was reading the wrong um wrong side. Oh, no, I wasn’t. Okay. I don’t know who did this one then. Oh yeah, the artist the urban conga collaborator Sergi Matthew owner tour producer Cleos okay there’s no info about it but oh yeah take control of objective by rotating the rings to create ever changing light and sound effects. Okay. Okay. Finally put the water back in here. Right, I’m going to go for a train. I think the sounds are nice. I like the sounds. Pretty. It’s different. I was going to have a go, but everyone’s on the saf thing, isn’t it? Okay, I’m not going to get a go of this, am I? Never mind. And it’s dark now. So yeah, the best times to come is after 6 and the clocks go back an hour on um Saturday night, tomorrow night, early Sunday morning. So I’m done now. I’ve got all 10. So thanks for watching.
