Officially starting in Blackpool, I would try to stick to the coast going clockwise until I reached Blackpool again.
Over the next 27 Days I would face horrific Weather on the West Coast of Scotland, a soaked tent for 4 Days, a series of punctures, a dramatic crossing of the Holy Island Causeway.
I’d sleep in a converted Horse box, hunker down in a conservatory for an extra 24 Hours during Storm Amy, stay in a 500 year old farmhouse.
I’d meet a Hermit called Andy and spend time talking to him in his home.
Meet the man behind Gay’s creamery.
I’d talk to old Fishermen, Young Fishermen, a harbour master, a roof thatcher.
I’d boil Eggs in a Bus shelter. I’d herd goats.

So much happened during those 4197 Miles. There were times when I couldn’t imagine ever making it round and back home.

Oh, I’ll meet you at the end of Burme Pier. Promise that you’ll wait for me, my dear. Don’t forget your hats and coats and a little inflatable boat. Oh, I’ll meet you at the end of the Bay Pier. Howdy, folks. Start of day five of the seaside shenanigans tour. Don’t know if you can hear that, but uh for the last hour and a half, it’s about 6:00 now. Not coming up to 6:00. Last hour and a half, uh the wind’s been trying to roll me tent. So, uh it’s just uh just my heft that stopped it going over. Um got an extra couple of temp pegs. I’ll uh put them in uh for the next time. But uh it’s all part of the shenanigans. Beaver tent was right battering last night. The wind got so bad in the night that I had to venture out of the tent, unsprag it and face it into another direction. I got absolutely soaked. Taking the tent down was a palava. It kept trying to migrate to the sea. At one point, the whole canvas leapt up and enclosed me like a clam. nearly taking me off me. With patience and a touch of luck, I got it packed away. The joys of camping in uh on the western coast of Scotland, Beaver, [Music] just going to leave this uh campsite. So, by the end of day four, done 692.5 miles. Brightening up a bit there. Well, it’s been a tough one this morning. Just trying to get the uh tent away in the hailing wind was uh n impossible. Took uh loads of trips back into to the bike that I had to move because it was uh well, it nearly fell over again. So, had to move it. Just stop to the side of the road now. I get a bit of a break because uh I’ve been riding for about an hour or so. But uh visibility has been really really poor. I just saw this uh beautiful little place. Well, so folks, I’ve just reached Averag. I’m going to go and uh see if we can buy some eggs and do some boiled eggs. It’s been uh a horrific ride across. You said the first hour or so, uh you could barely see where he was going. You know, a lot of people say zero visibility, but it’s not of zero, otherwise I’d have crashed. But, uh, managed to get this far, 730 mi into the tour lever, the monkey revolution. So, let’s have a shag. I’ve uh found some uh eggs at the shop or got some eggs from the shop. brought one of them. But uh I’m just cooking them there in a bush shelter. [Applause] We’ll do a lot seat as well. The wind. What are your names and where you from? I’m Tom and this is my wife Katherine from Fantastic. Well, thank you very much for supporting BH Breast Counter and Thank you very much. Cheers. Thanks a lot. The fruit of my labor here and three for later. Howdy, folks. Continuing on day five of the seaside shenanigans tour. I’m just coming into I’ve stopped some petrol at this place called uh Gleaners and uh they give me a free coffee and uh a free two pointer of milk to uh help me on me way. Fantastic. Thanks guys. Premier Birchwood local. Beaver the monkey revolution. As loud as you can. Ready. Beaver the monkey. Beaver. Howdy folks. Just got to open on day five of the seaside shenanigans tour. Uh been speaking to lots of people about me bike. There’s a lot of interest in the bike rather than me. I’ve just popped it here on the uh on the pavement. It’s been some fellow bikers and uh a nice bus driver called James. So uh viva to them. I’m going to carry on in a minute and try to get some of the mileage done. Just at Fort William watching this boat setting off. You all right, my love? You having a good day? Absolutely. I’m doing a 4,000 milei ride around the UK coastline for boot breast cancer. Yeah. I’ll just pass you one of me cards if I can before you go. if I do without losing me keys. Well, that would be a a bad do, wouldn’t it? Yeah, there you go. Watch it on YouTube on the table for everybody. Oh, fantastic. Thank you. Cheers. [Laughter] [Music] So, uh I’m going to try see if I can get somewhere on Sky to stay. Uh last resort will be the tent because uh it’s really wet inside and the sleeping bag was wet as well and the blanket. So I’ve nothing dry. Um I went to uh put me uh I was I was going to put me um thermal bottoms on this morning, but uh the wind had blown them into a puddle, so I couldn’t do that either. But what can you do folks? Just at Speed Bridge at the moment. Just pay me my respects. [Music] Glengary viewpoint, I think. Viva the monkey revolution. Viva just this is a lovely couple from uh from the whirl who just offered me a brew. Beaver. Howdy folks. So I’m on Glen Shields camping site. It’s just outside Sky about 20 mi before you get to Sky. I had to go the long way around cuz uh couldn’t get the ferry. Glen Shields at 20 mile from um uh from Sky, the bridge at Sky. But then when you get to sky, it’s about another 20 mi before you get to any campsites. And uh I think I’d done about 180 odd miles. So I thought be a good time to uh stop. Just unloaded most of the bike. And uh one thing it has got here is uh a drying room. Just go and show you. A big uh winter rain last night. Drying room here. You can feel the heat when you walk in. That’s me uh mattress and sleeping bag. And uh when somebody’s finished using the dryer, I’ll bump this in the dryer as well just to finish it off. [Music] But uh yeah, nice little campsite. There’s three other bikers here from uh from Essics. So, having a chat with them, I can uh chill out, get ready for uh day six. Eva, the monkey revolution. Oh, look. He’s on there. Beaver. Beaver. So, I’m just at the Kintail Lodge Hotel. Uh not staying here. I’m just uh having some food. just ordered uh fish and chips gluten-free. So, uh should keep me going for a couple of days. I’m just sitting at the bar waiting for my table having uh an appetizer. Absolutely gorgeous though. Trying to get me uh stuff dry from uh the wingman of the road. Might have to have it that way up. I think if I don’t get it completely dry, put my other mattress on top of it and then just use me blanket tonight. Is what it is. [Music] I’ve come out to this shelter. It’s uh just on the edge of the campsite so I can uh have a beer without being in a confined space. Shaba by the light of an head torch bey folks. It’s nearly 1:00 in the morning and the uh wind’s just died down a little bit. It’s really been trying to uh break this tent or break me, one or the other. Uh if it starts again really bad, I’ll record some of what it’s like. Fever. Last time it was doing this for about 20 minutes, but a lot more severe. You can hear it proper howling. It has started leaking. I think uh the top corner of the seam here. Oh, eight. Still getting some sleep. [Music] Monkey dicks has wind. Hey, Oh, I’ll meet you at the end of Burme Pier. Promise that you’ll wait for me, my dear. Don’t forget your hats and coats and a little inflatable boat. Oh, I’ll meet you at the end of her May. [Music]

  1. Do you think you’ll take the wingman on the next leg of your tour? I’m going to sell mine and stick with the good old reliable poly tents 👌🏻.
