Days 231-238. 12km (91,767kms 8yrs)
Unusually I had an alarm set to wake me. I rushed my coffee to pack down camp in the forest. Rushing to meet my mum from the airport, it was a surreal feeling in the calm dawn beneath the trees.
Riding into Budapest I followed good bike paths as yellow trams rattled by. I crossed the Danube over the gorgeous green Liberty bridge, impressed already by the grandeur of the city. Bike and luggage dropped at our central apartment, I headed straight out to the airport without time even for a shower.
For a week we took things at a much slower pace, open top buses, boat trips, good local meals, museum, basilica, and synagogue visits. I even caught a Shabbat service though couldn’t film of course. The time flew though, l hugged mum goodbye at the airport and used the bus trip back to begin mentally gearing back up to biking and camping again.

Good morning. Early start after a cold night. But that’s okay cuz I’m 10 km from Budapest where I’m going to go and spend a few days with my mom. See you kissing them. See it? [Music] Wow. Which way am I supposed to go? loitering, smoking, drinking quite please. A lovely Nice. Yeah. What do you think? Huh? shots. [Music] [Music] [Music] Mhm. Oh, it smells amazing. We’re staying in the Jewish quarter right by this enormous and beautiful synagogue. And it happens to be the 7th of October today. So I’ve noticed that the security is a bit higher outside the synagogue. There’s a couple of policemen. That car is always there. And of course there’s this memorial to the hostages taken. What’s supposed to Based on the flag, we think it was a visiting dignity from the Ivory Coast. There we go. It’s a Nobel Prize for chemistry. Never seen a Nobel Prize before. Beethoven’s piano later owned by List. Yes, Penny Valley. [Music] Yes, we are. [Music]

Oh, lovely! That makes me want to go to Budapest.
جميل جدا بتوفيق لك في رحتلك ❤😊
At the 2:32 point of this video there is some flamingo guitar being played in the background. Do you happen to know if that was Imad Fares? Sounds like it, but he usually plays in Krackow, Poland. If I were cycling through a city square and heard that, I'd stop. I'd also include it in my video. But, I'd likely stop for any talented musician. 😊🎼🎵🎶🎸🎹🎻
