A day in Carlisle (October 2025).
This was another of those £2 train ticket offers that Northern Rail had on.
The train was about 9.20am and I arrived around 12pm.
Had a walk around in the rain.
Milly got wet and fed up (she was in a bit of a mood as she does not like getting up early).
This is just a few mins footage as we could not film much as it was raining.
I was supposed to get the 9.30pm train back but I paid £1.50 so I could change it to the 6.20pm train as I had enough by then.
If I was to come again I would bring a bike and cycle on the bike path and probably in summer.
It seems a nice place to cycle.
I met lots of dog walkers and one couple had a reddish poodle. It reminded me of my grandparents dog was called Bella. She was a black large poodle. She was sweet.
Hi folks. We’re in Kale or whatever it’s called and it’s stopped raining so thought I’d do a little bit of footage. Um, don’t know what we’ll film. Might try and do the town center later. Oops. Hang on. People come in. And we’re back. There’s Carl’s house or I don’t know how you pronounce it. Oh, it’s starting to rain again. I mean, it’s an all right place. People crossing over anyway. probably get what on the lens. Yeah, we’re just walking. Um I’m just taking it for a quick walk. Although when I say quick, I’m here till 8:00. It’s one of these two pound things. Um, not bad. Came all the way for two quid. That’s why I’ve been doing them, these little journeys. Um, so it’s basically just a day out with a dog really. If we see something cool, we’ll film it. If not, no big deal. It doesn’t cost anything. Oh, at the beginning, I don’t know if so. Haven’t seen a poodle for ages. It’s a lovely one that I haven’t even seen one that color I don’t think before. Must have done. They’re normally either black, white, or rarer is gray. Although miniatures you don’t see many gray miniatures and I’ve seen them as standard poodles. I always get them confused. They come in these sizes, I think. Oh, there’s a swan. Anyway, we’ll see how it goes. I’ll just um it’s not going to be the best um video going because it’s raining and it’s probably a lot of background noise from the bags and I’m tired. Don’t like doing these early days and I’m not going home till 8. I arrived at 12 and popping back. I think it’s 8:00. That’s where we are. Don’t they for you in the middle of nowhere? Where? What? So just random. That’s how you open the door. All right, we’ll chat later then. Hi folks. Just back again when um walking the dogs well dog and I’ve come across this now. I’m in the field. It doesn’t say it’s um private. I don’t know if it is or not, but I just thought we’d have a quick look. I don’t know if we’re going to be in trouble walking to it. Let’s have a quick lookie poos. My feet are wet by the way. Oh god. Soaking wet. Just thought I’d have a peek. Don’t know if it’s uh Let’s just put the umbrella down. It’s pving down by the way. Let’s have a quick look inside. Of course, some foss have vandalized it. Don’t if it’s a Victorian one or a few of these are like Varavian clones. Let’s have a quick look outside. Millie, come on. Cuz it’s being vandalized, isn’t it? By thicky people. You can’t have anything nice in the UK because some scumbag will always vandalize it. Oh, it’s clearly a modern clone, isn’t it? Unless I’ve just replaced bits. Let’s have a quick look. We’re on a path called um Adrian’s Walk or something. Yeah, that’s definitely a modern building, isn’t it? It’s weird. It’s just some sort of random building. Unless it has been just rebuilt. I don’t know if we’ll see any signs of Hadrien’s wall. Obviously, you know, it’s not doing a very good job because I keep seeing Scottish people crossing the border and it’s it’s not keeping him out anymore. Let’s have a look. I might be in trouble for coming across. Just thought we’d have a quick peek. I don’t definitely look I think it’s a modern modern versions. Oh dear. All right. Well, hopefully it’s Oh god, my feet are soaking. Oh, by the way, it’s about 200 p.m. I’m here till um 8:00 p.m. So, I’ll film a few bits and bobs as we’re walking. Everything’s soaking. I’m tired still. We’ll see if we get into trouble for crossing into this field. All right, then. Over and out for now. Hi, folks. We’re still in Kal or whatever you call it. I don’t know. It’s pouring down. It’s about 300 p.m. So, we’re just going to head back and have a wonder around the um city or town or whatever it is. Have a look at that before we go. Oh, it is wet. Wet and a little bit chilly, but anyway. So, I’ll just hang I don’t know what you call it. I’m too tight to think. We’ll just um leave it there for a moment and come back later. She’s fed up. You guys see something? Just kidding.

It’s a pity the train journey offers don’t come about for the summer months. Horrid rain spoiling Milly’s day out!
