There are several famous travel routes in Europe, such as the Golden Circle in Iceland and the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. Now Switzerland is following suit with the Alpine Circle – a route that can be taken by car, train, or e-bike. Euromaxx reporter, Diana Piñeros, did the ‘Ruta Centrala’ on an e-bike and visited the five top sights in Switzerland’s eastern canton of Graubünden.

[Music] pristine nature breathtaking views stunning architecture the swiss canton of graubunden has a lot to offer the new alpine circle route takes in all the highlights hi i’m dieno pineros from djw euromax for two days i’m exploring the swiss alps on an e-bike to visit the most beautiful places in the region let’s go my first stop is the city of kuaff where locals speak german romance and italian from switzerland’s oldest town three different alpine circle routes lead you through the mountains one is 150 kilometers long another 200 and a third 450 kilometers the middle route takes me to a stunning 65 meter tall gravel bridge [Music] and finally the famous bernina express is coming up also known as the little red this view is fantastic [Music] i continue to the foot of the viaduct which is a unesco world heritage site look at this amazing view we meet tita dukkovic from the raision railroad company declining from the mission push on over rough terrain but i won’t keep up i carry on i saw a lot during the first 100 kilometers my first day comes to an end in pontrecinna [Music] today the journey continues with the cable car i’m driving uphill to the diaboliza a skill station at an altitude of almost three thousand meters is famous for its jaw-dropping use of glaciers and the highest mountain in the eastern alps the piss bernina the motorage and pass glaciers cover a total of 16 square kilometers i’m fascinated by the alpine scenery the next 50 kilometer lake of the route to the next stop takes about three and a half hours by bike by car around 50 minutes graubunden has around 11 000 kilometers of bike paths in all the swiss national park with this 170 square kilometers is the country’s largest nature reserve national park ranger armon villi knows his way around [Music] see a vitan here site sexual swansea yaden [Music] finally my last stop is straight out of a fairy tale [Music] [Applause] [Music] this mountain village above the town of mayanfeld inspired 19th centuries with novelist johannes piri to write haidi a world famous children’s book it has been translated into over 50 languages heidi a five-year-old orphan grows up in her grandfather’s care and experiences many adventures in heididorf visitors can get into the spirit of the story and like me visit the alpine lodge [Music] i have to say it was really demanding to explore five different places in two days on a bike but it was totally worth it i especially like the diaboliza a real experience that i can totally recommend the alpine circle route has over 20 highlights it is a scenic route you can explore by bike car or even on food [Music] you
