My office is abt 37kms one way, relatively flat with only a few steep climbs, total elevation gain being abt 260m or so.
I live in Australia so its summer now, I used to do a 30-40k ride in the morning, come home take a shower and then go to office by motorcycle, there is free parking for motorcycles near office and the ride was abt 40 mins or so.
I started thinking why not ride to the office in the morning and take the train back home, the train station is abt 1 km from office and 1.5 kms from home.
I have to go to office twice a week so I started doing this from this week and I have to say I feel a lot better than riding my motorcycle even though I just love my Ninja especially because the ride back there is insane traffic and even though I can ride on the shoulder its a pain.
This route has a bit of traffic along half the route, there is a bike path but its abt 7kms longer and the last 5 kms has lot more traffic.
Pain piints are:
1. My bag is a lot heavy as I have to carry formal colthes to wear plus a t-shirt and shorts to wear on the rides back, lunch box , laptop, headphones.
2. On the ride back since its rush hour the train is a bit crowded, I might have to leave a bit early so to avoid the rush.
Just wanted to share thats all.
