Premier League action resumes with a short trip over the penines for Lead United to take on Burnley at Turf Moore. Team news for leads. There’s one change to the starting 11. Orca is out injured. So Jack Harrison comes in from the start. Dan James is fit enough to take his place on the bench. In it comes space just outside the penalty area. Back to Long Staff to his right to Brendan Aronson. Puts the cross in. Calvin Lewin with a bicycle kick effort comes in short to Cullen and back to Walker again on his right foot to cross into the area. Great ball in and the header from Okachu from very close range is straight forward and straight into the back of the net to make it Burnley one leads nil. Drops for Cullen. Cullen still going. Plays it into the middle. Really important intervention from Goodmanson. Antony’s given it away straight to Harrison to attack the edge of the penalty area. Harrison’s played it in. Aronson. Oh, it’s hit the post. Goalkeeper got a touch on it and Brendan Aronson cannot believe that he has an equalized for leads. Drops a shoulder. Short ball to Goodmanson. Drives into the penalty. He’s fouled there just outside the box by Anthony. A shot it must surely be. Referee gives a signal. Stack curls it in to Bravka. Full stretch. Long staff moving it down the channel. Puts it up into the middle. Comes out for Harrison. Half volley. Hits it into the ground and it flies up and over the crossbar. Burnley maintain possession in the lead’s half. presented with the opportunity through for the opportunity for a shot and it flies beyond the dive of Darlow and Burnley with a spectacular strike have gone two up here at Turfmore taking on Hartman comes back instead for long staff curls his cross in the middle and Calbertt Lewin Bogle’s right in there and Bogle can’t keep his shot down Calbertt Lewin nicely laid off for Goodmanson he’s in the penalty area cuts it back for Peru long staff’s ball in heads up from Rodong forwards. Directed on target and there it is the final whistle goes here at Turfmore and Leads have fallen to a very disappointing defeat at the hands of the side who came up with them. Leadeds had plenty of possession, created good moments, just couldn’t do what Burnley did. And the full time here it’s finished. Burnley two lead United nil.

  1. Looking back at the play of that aaronsen chance. He was 8 yards out all the time in the world and he hit it straight at the keeper. Terrible shot

  2. If it were the training ground at Thorpe Arch, the same chances would have gone in. They all panic. Just dummy and chip the keeper, but no, blast it and hope.
Religation looms. The bookies are not wrong often.

  3. Poor defending ..poor attacking ……are there not any scouts in the Leeds setup who could find some youngsters eager and capable?
Haaland was born in Leeds ..his dad played for Leeds ….I bet MC would release him for £5000!!!…..go get him!

  4. Farke isn't cutting it
I don't see any passion or commitment.
Slow when running, we'd rather pass back then drive forwards.

    The team need inspiring.

Need a manager who can take us forward ASAP. Too late by January

  5. Stop whining! It's only October! Neither club has had a good start . It was always going to be difficult for all 3 promoted clubs. Sunderland have picked up points but haven't really played against a decent side ( except Burnley ) .they will start sliding down the table by December. Next weekend is an opportunity for both clubs to pick up 3 points.

  6. Farke deserved a chance to prove himself at this level. Today showed that charitable act is running out of time. Like Marsch if Farke pulls out 2 decent results it will save his job and alas see us relegated all the same.

  7. Burnley fan here , obviously buzzing that we won but I hope we all stay up im sick of the Premier league gap its not right ….you were by far the better team but unfortunately goals win games
