We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. So feel free to tag along if you’re interested in following our journey and adventures around the globe ❤️

Whoo, done for the day, done 30 miles I think we’ve got something like 15
or 20 to go to Bratislava but my legs, and my arse is red raw So Which is understandable, first day back cycling so Need to cut me some slack Anyway, we’re gonna camp here I think it’s just a job for the hammock,
just gonna sling it across there And aye Got a wee bit of water down there
for a wee bath and a wee drink Good morning, you’ve been sleeping all day Yes So, anyway, aye, we’re gonna set up the hammock and then get the wee stove out and get some dinner Day number 1 and we’ve hit our first problem I got a new hammock just before I left because my other one was light blue and, you know, that’s not very camouflage so I have a green one just for nights when we need to hide away and I forgot to bring the ropes that go round
the tree that fit the hammock You’ve got to buy some, I never bought any Sooo I don’t know what I’m gonna do,
might have to set up the tent now I’ve had a look about and it doesn’t
reach any of these pillars That end fits on the railing there, that’s fine, that’s on nice and secure Hold on, I’ve got an idea, got an idea Where are ya? The moment of truth See if this works or, if that snaps Ohhhhh Oh ho ho ho ho yes Oh I’m a genius It works Right well, looks like it’s gonna be hammock tonight Got this water down here I’m just
looking for a way to get some On my last of my water just now out the bottle
so we need to find some and boil it Just so we’ve got some to drink *whistling* Don’t know where Nala’s gone *whistling* Ah, she’ll be somewhere Aye so, plans is get some water out of here boil it for a few minutes,
make it safe to drink Right Whoops a daisy Right, so, here’s the plan Whoop, kingfisher, just seen another one Second kingfisher I’ve seen today Ohh, amazing Anyway, back to the plan Got this, my pan, gonna tie a rope to it dunk it down and just hopefully get some water There we go now I can’t remember what it is but
I’m pretty sure it’s hard boil the water for 1 minute and then it’s drinkable I mean if you look at it, it looks pretty clean anyway There we go, just gonna fill up that so we’ve got some for the morning That’s the water bottle I keep on the road Should really get 2 of them actually that would save this Good girl So she’s just happy hunting mice there I’m just gonna go up and finish my dinner So it tastes okay but the real test will be tomorrow morning See if it sits well with me with the dirty water in it Anyway, I’m gonna finish this go and tire Nala out a wee bit and jump into bed get a good night sleep
so see you soon Mahhhhhh good morning Well, what a fantastic sleep I had The time is now 20 to 8 Nala has evacuated the hammock so need to get up and go find her, see where she’s disappeared to Anyway, good morning and let’s do this Told ya, she never goes far, she’ll just be playing in the long grass
Hello Good morning Up ya come, come on Good morning Yesss Yess Good girl You had enough fun then?
Uuuuaahhhh There we go, you sit in there and get comfy There we go just keep that one So I’ll just finish packing up, oh god look at my hair I’ll just finish packing up, sort my hair, and then we’ll head I think it’s 14 miles into Bratislava So it’ll be about, don’t know it’s a headwind this morning, so it’ll be a 2 hour cycle Gonna get a, just a cheap hotel there just to show you about the city and then tomorrow we’re gonna crack on Oh I need to get some new shorts as well And I need to find something for my hammock,
a proper rope to go round the trees So aye, Bratislava, we’re gonna be busy So aye, let’s go So this morning my legs feel brand new,
nice and fresh but my bum… my bum’s a wee bit sore Hello, hello there Good girl Good girl, so this is our apartment Yess Uhhhhff So this is our apartment for the night guys Nice and small, I’ll probably just crash on the couch Wee kitchen over here Small bathroom in there,
very cheap Nala has already crashed out Eh? Ohhhh yes So the plan is, we’re just gonna rest for a wee bit and then we’re gonna get the bike and
go for a cycle round Bratislava and have a look at the city But we’re gonna leave you here and
we’ll see you in the next video

  1. she does worry when your gone. it is separation anxiety they call it. she loves you and worries. i really enjoy both your company. meow meow meow oops was that me. have fun gary. i'm canadian and there is no way you could be free in canada. there is a fence around every field. police would be hassling you. europe seems easier. maybe i'm wrong but we need to go to a camp site with many rules like fires out at 10. no music after 10. no food left out. and they are very crowded. your show is pleasant. have fun

  2. I enjoy binge watching your videos, Dean. I adore Nala, how devoted to you she is and vice versa. I enjoy your filming and editing work so much! But I didn't like this installment. I was worried sick about darling Nala! She could have fallen in that water, or got stuck somewhere, or being attacked by a big bird or animal, and you would have never found out what had happened to her! I understand that you have been exhausted, but please, take all precautions for her (and your) safety. Her crying at the end of the video tells me one thing – you are her entire world! Please, never abandon her. I am writing this because as a rescuer I have seen too many betrayed pets. When peoples' circumstances change ( marriage, newborn baby, separation etc) their darling cats are the first victims. It's absolutely heartbreaking to deal with such animals. They grieve for a long time. Some even die, despite our efforts to fill the void in their souls. I hope that Nala will always be your top priority and if at any stage in your life that changes, feel free to let me know. I would be more than happy to adopt her.

  3. Seeing the Kingfisher means the water is fairly safe after boiling, they are an indicator species for pollution, so if they are fishing, it should be a low level of pollution. And boiling is “big bubbles, no trouble “!

  4. Don't know about all the plants in the different countries you and Nala travel to, but aren't you afraid that with Nala wandering about that she will get into poison ivy or poison oak?
