[Music] It’s October 12th, and we’ve arrived in southwest Germany on our trip to Spain. We’re currently at our bike shop, where our bikes and our e-bikes are supposed to be serviced, and he also has a parking space , so we can park there. We’re exactly in Neueried, which is a place roughly near Offenburg, and we’ll spend the night here, have our bikes serviced, and then we’ll move on. I don’t just want to report on that, I also want to report on our journey here. I’d like to introduce you to the parking spaces we used. They’re not fancy places; sometimes they’re just simple spots, but maybe they’ll be of interest to some of you, because we’re always looking for spots near the motorway. I’d also like to answer a few questions you asked in the last video or in the comments. Welcome to this video. Just a quick heads-up: there are about 10 spots here that you can use as a customer. I don’t know exactly if you can use them if you’re not a customer. I think so. You just have to register here to drive in, because the site is locked at the weekend. So, you can’t just get in. Before I go on, I would first like to, or we would first like to, thank you very much for the many clicks on the last video, where we talked about and showed our preparations, and of course also for the many comments. It was great that you reported so much and, above all, you gave me tips again and in turn gave others too. Thank you very much for all that. It would be nice if we could continue like that a bit and, yes, and then the questions that arose or were asked there, I will try to answer them in different or subsequent videos. That means, every time I make a new video about our trip, about locations, I will always pick up on a question and try to answer it. Of course , I’m not omniscient and can’t answer everything, but I’ll try as best I can. I just need to add something here, about this parking space where we’re standing now. We arrived here outside of business hours. That means it’s Sunday, Sunday afternoon, and for the tour, to drive in here, we were given a code because we registered here beforehand, and that’s why we can park here on the parking space. It’s different during business hours, of course. You can drive straight up, and there’s someone here to show you around or open the gate for you. But now, let’s get to the first few stages of our journey. We started south on the A31. Our destination was Kosfeld. We visited some long-time friends there. There’s a parking space in Kosfeld; we know it; I’ve already featured it in a video. We’ll turn left here, and then we’ll see the parking space in a minute. There’s a large car park in front of the parking space. It’s also used as an alternative parking space when the parking space is full. And that seems to be the case again in this case. We’ll see in a moment. The space is full . That’s why there are already a few mobile homes parked here in the parking lot. The parking space has 12 plots, so not that many. It’s free of charge, but people are happy to use it as a parking space because it’s close to town. In front of the parking space is the final disposal facility. Here you can see where you can dispose of waste and also get fresh water. Fresh water is subject to a charge. There is electricity on the parking space, which is also subject to a charge, of course. The spaces on the parking space, on the actual parking space, I would say, are suitable for vehicles up to 10 meters. Anyone staying longer than that will have to stay here in the parking lot, where we are. I didn’t see any photo boat signs or any indications that you’re not allowed to park there. You can see that there’s also a caravan on the site. In the evening we met up with our camping friends. We hadn’t seen them for a few years, so of course there was a big hello. And then we went into town together for dinner. The family is one of the first Haku fans. We met them in Spain and yes, they are, in order , Marielle, Iris, Helmut and, on the far right, Gido. We’re always happy when we meet and see each other and have a lot to talk about. The restaurant is about 1 km from the site. Before we parted, we took a group photo as a souvenir and then we headed back to the mobile home. The next morning, we slept well. However, it must be said that there is a road that runs past and then the traffic starts in the morning and yes, then you do hear something and wake you up. But that wasn’t a problem for us. We were supposed to move on anyway. Our next stage is a very short one. We’re only driving 30 km to Borken . Why are we going there? We have an appointment at the Camper Clean company not far from Borken . We want to look at the technical equipment they manufacture and get information about it there. I’ll cover that in a separate video, though. Now we’re on the way to the campsite in Borken, and the site is by the Aquarius leisure pool. It’s very close to town, but beautifully situated in the countryside. Now we turn right and we’ve reached the campsite. We arrive here on a Thursday morning. You can see that some of the sites are occupied, but there are also some free spaces. This is a paid site. You pay €9 per day, including electricity. There are sites on the right. I think you can park up to 10 meters there, and on the left, you can park for a long time. Longer vehicles or camper vans can also park there. I haven’t seen any clear parceling here, but that’s not a problem in the end. You park properly and it’s fine. The access road is asphalt and there’s a bit of it in front of the pitches, but the pitches themselves are grass or on grass and were a bit soft from the heavy rain. I read on the information board that there is a so-called shower tariff for campers. If you want to use the bathroom, you can go there to shower. We paid at the parking meter. Here you can pay with coins or with a Visa card or with your mobile phone. The final supply is at the access road. There’s a floor inlet. You can drain grey water there and dispose of faeces. And then there’s a fresh water connection. It’s separate, though. You can tap fresh water there. The fresh water is included in the pitch fee. We walked into town. It’s easy to do. It’s only a few hundred meters. And then you’re in town and the town is interesting, I have to say. There are lots of restaurants and cafés there and it’s a beautiful town. Mhm. [Music] If you don’t want to go into town and would like a bit more peace and quiet, you can take a small hiking trail along a small river directly from the campsite into a forest, where you can go for a walk. It’s also nice for those with a dog to walk along here. We thought it was quite nice there. That’s it for the campsite in Borken. Now back to the questions you asked in the comments or wrote to me directly. Yes, but now to the questions you asked, and it’s about a topic, which is also an important topic, I think: caravans, because a lot of people are on the road with a caravan, traveling. We were like that in the past, too. We’ve been on the road with a caravan for over 10 years , with different caravans, and we know the whole story and are therefore very familiar with all these things related to caravans. Now I have to But I would like to say, of course I’m happy to report if there’s any chance that I can report on caravans. But of course there are lots of pitches where caravans aren’t allowed. It says caravans aren’t allowed. Um, I sometimes don’t understand it either. If the pitches are really big, they could easily have caravans there. But well, I’m not in the mood to criticise or moan in any way , you just have to take it as it comes. And of course I’m happy to show it, if there’s the possibility of pitching a caravan somewhere, I’ll always point it out. I’ll maybe even tell you a story or two about caravans – I’ve made a note of them – if the opportunity arises. But it just has to come my way so that I can deal with it and then show it in the video. Unfortunately I can’t do more than that at the moment. But now back to our trip. I’ve already mentioned that here. We had an appointment with the company Camper Clean. We took photos there on Friday afternoon and from there we continued on our journey south. We then chose a parking space near Düsseldorf. We didn’t necessarily want to drive towards Cologne. From experience we know that there are a lot of traffic jams there and so we chose this parking space, which is close to the city. The site is very conveniently located, not far from the A61 motorway, so it can be reached quickly. The town of Fersen lies northwest of Munich-Engladbach. This is another parking space, which is next to a swimming pool or leisure pool and is in a separate parking area of the swimming pool. And of course this is also a space that is purely used for overnight stays. That means it is not a nice parking space, but rather you park here, spend the night and drive on the next day. What’s always good, of course, is when a pitch like this has a final supply. In this case, the pitch also has electricity, which we obviously don’t need. However, final supply is always good for us. Yes, with water. We do have a 300-litre fresh water tank, but we don’t like to fill it up, simply because of the weight, and so it’s always nice to be able to top up with water. Disposal is free here. You have to use coins to fill up the fresh water tank. I think you get 100 LUR, but you have to pay the site fee for the bathroom. I went in there. I did n’t have to pay the fee because I didn’t use anything. I didn’t need any electricity or water or anything like that. I didn’t want to use the belt either. So they told me I didn’t have to pay a site fee. Otherwise you pay a site fee of €15, including electricity. We slept well there. It was quiet at night, but then during the day, or rather in the morning, the traffic started and, yes, that was good to hear too. I should probably add that. This parking space is not near the town of Versen, but near the town of Dülken. The address in the apps is Versen though. I don’t know why, I’ve just added it here for accuracy. It’s Saturday around 10 a.m. and we set off on the A61 heading south and have about 250 km to our next parking space. Our destination is the town of Gensing. It’s a small town near or west of Mainz. There’s a parking space there that we’d like to use because it’s also close to the A61. Our sat nav is taking us through a residential area, which isn’t a problem, but there would have been a better or different way to get to the site. But that’s just how it is with sat navs sometimes. They don’t always get everything 100% perfect. We’ve just reached the parking space. It’s located next to the Goldberghalle. It’s an event hall, which may be a problem for the parking space. is. That’s how I read it, at least. It’s probably about the noise level due to the parking lot right next to it. You’ll probably hear the traffic coming and going, and events like this often go on into the night. No. So, we’ve almost reached the spot. The light here is on the right. We always pay attention when we choose a spot to make sure it’s suitable for the length of the vehicle. We look for possible spots where the length is more than 9 m, or at least 9 m, so that we have enough space to park there. Reverse in. There are four parking spaces here. There’s another marking here. The area is kept clear, or should be kept clear. There’s enough space in front of your motorhome there. There’s a fee-based parking space. It costs €10. Payment is made via an envelope that you take out of a box, enter your details on an envelope, then put €10 in and post the whole thing back in. As you can see from the sign, caravans are not allowed here. There is electricity too. You pay €1 for 6 hours. In the background we can see the Goldberghalle. There was no event this weekend, so it was quiet and we slept well here. What’s interesting here is that you have the option of cycling along the Nahr, all the way to the Reihen as far as Bingen. It’s a little over 10 km. We cycled part of this route, but not quite to the Reihen. The next morning we stocked up on supplies before we continued on. Then we headed south on the A61 to Neueried to our bike shop. It was about 200 km, a little over 200 km to get there. Now I’ll answer a question that has been asked again and again. Also a question that has been asked several times. Why are you putting up a solar panel next to your mobile home? Do n’t you have enough solar panels on the roof? Of course we have solar panels on the roof too. We have 570 watts on the roof. That’s usually sufficient in the summer months, although we also use a lot, but in the winter and autumn months, when the sun is lower in the sky, it gets difficult. Many people in Spain will know that it’s often not enough, simply because the sun is too weak, i.e., too low in the sky, to feed enough in. So, in that respect, a panel or a double panel, like the one I have now, which you put next to the mobile home and then feed in the voltage via a separate controller, is more helpful. This means I can adjust the solar panel’s inclination and always orient it toward the sun. So, that helps us a lot, and we actually use very little electricity, i.e., electricity from the socket. We’re pretty much getting by with our solar panel. Of course, if the electricity is included in the price and I have to pay for it anyway, then it’s a bit different. Then I’ll use electricity sometimes. But that’s usually rare. You can still ask questions here in the comments. I’ll try to answer them gradually. Our journey continues. We’re now reaching France. More on that in the next video. As always, thank you for watching. I ‘d appreciate it if you gave it a thumbs up, and I’d also appreciate it if you subscribed to my channel. Otherwise, I say goodbye until next time. [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  6. Danke Hartmut, wie immer tolles, sehr informatives Video 👍
Fahrt Ihr in Frankreich "Camping Car Park" Plätze an?
Freue mich schon auf das nächste Video 😊
    Gute, staufreie Fahrt ❤
    Liebe Grüße Silvi
