Hello everyone and welcome to my channel. Today I am going to do a cold weather range test with my new BMW C E uh 02. I have charged the bike up to 93% and uh the bike estimates a range of about 53 km. I will uh record the trip. I am using a GPS um navigation application here on my phone which uh shows the GPS speed and the distance I have traveled. So I will ride over to an island outside her city car and a city with the name and I will go as uh so far as I dare to do. So now let us uh start the bike and go for the range test. The estimated range of uh 53 kilometers is uh estimated from my previous rides. I could have reason that but uh I will probably ride about uh the same way as I have done so far. There are mostly speed limits of uh 60 km per hour towards and uh some short stretches with uh 70 km per hour. The distance to 20.7 km from her. So uh when I ride to Orca and then back to Hogen I would have used 42 kilm of the available range and I am left with about 13 km. So here is the first 70 kilm of the row of zone. I am uh using the ride mode uh flow which uh regenerates energy when I’m uh rolling down uh hills and uh uh stop in in uh intersections and uh like that. So this was the bridge over from Herguson to K Island on the way to Oraham. Uh it is quite uh a lot of uh headwind but when I’m riding back I will have the wind in my back. So I think that will be uh uh a sero influence on the resert. Yes, I am uh halfway to uh Okraham. Uh now the counter on my uh navigation app which by the way is Guru Maps Pro shows now 10 kilometers. Just arrived the bigness and uh 13 km on the navigation app. Yes, this is the standard uh version of the C02 11 kilowatt. No heated uh grips. The only extra uh current drove is now my charging of my uh mobile phone but that is uh very very little. My weight is uh about 80 kg and uh I don’t have uh any luggage that I have a full riding suit with protectors. So why did I uh choose this route when testing the range? Well, in uh Okraham uh city uh there is a very uh nice uh beach to use summertime. So uh it would be of course uh very nice to travel from Herguson for a bath at Oraham. And the second reason is that I have a friend in Ottoham which also is riding motorcycles and he has just uh ordered a exactly the same bike as this one. So we I want to be able to visit him without uh any uh worries about uh range and same for him. He wants to use the bike to uh do some shopping in Hogen, my home city, occasionally without any worries about range. And we will of course use these bikes mostly thermal time when the temperature is a lot higher. 19.8 And here we are at Orraham 20 kilometers ridden and um uh charge percent show still shows 62%. And the estimated range left is 40. And that estimate may have changed while riding because today I am not riding very aggressively. I just follow the speed limits. So, uh, I may get up a better range today with this type of riding than I have been done so far, testing the bike, done a lot of hard acceleration and so forth. Yes, let’s go ahead. Orandon Beach 20 kilometers uh back to Hergusen about then I will have 20 km left and arriving Hergusen. So, I think I will go a little bit uh further south on this island before I return to Hugson. But first, I visit here at the beach. Where is the best view? Maybe a pair. So, here it is. Okraan uh beach. You can’t see all of the beach from here. But this is a very popular uh beach summertime when the temp temperature is high enough to tan your body. Do a bath. Okay, let us uh ride further south. [Applause] Leaving uh Pahan we have 60% charge 40 km of uh estimate the range. Okay, we are arriving uh Fing Star and uh I have 56% left of the charge on the battery and uh an estimated range of 37 kilm and I have now ridden 25.3 km. Oh, I should probably very soon uh return to Hogen to have a safe uh uh reserve of charge on the bike. I don’t want to push it or call for help. So here this is uh how far I dare to push the bike today on a cold day. Maybe I should do a little bit shopping here. Yes. Now, let’s uh ride home first. Okay, heading back to Herguson and uh it’s about 26 km of the Herguson now and estimated range is 36. So, I should have a vessel of about 10 km when arriving Hen. Let’s see if that is the case. The charge of the bike is 53%. Now, of course, uh tire pressure uh has also something to say for the range. If you have low tire pressure, the bike meets more resistance. So, I have adjusted the tire pressure to uh 26 PSI or 1.8 bar front and back, which is the recommended pressure from BMW. The old motorcycle test cycle WTC is the standard uh that uh everyone uses to uh measure the range of an uh motorcycle. And the WM PC range for this bike is 95 km in total. So uh that is of course uh I think it it’s about uh 20° Celsius and today it’s 10. So the temperature influence on range of course are um arriving very soon. We are going over bridge and um charge is now 20%. We started with uh 93. The estimated range left is uh 13 kilm. We have uh ridden 48.5 kilm. And uh that gives a total range today of say 60 65 kilm or something like uh that but then it’s empty. Uh this is about what I expected from the bike in 10° C. Uh I feel a little bit lack of power now. I don’t feel it accelerates as good as when I started. We are now approaching the bord between uh Carme Municipality and Hergesen Municipality, not far from my home. And here it is, the sign Hugen. Woohoo! That was Yes, it’s not the same acceleration now. Okay, now the bike suddenly said at 10 kilometers left, it says uh uh low charge level and ask me if I want to enable the low power mode on. I push okay to that. And now it is low power mode. Yes. And suddenly there are 15% charge left on the motorcycle. So when uh you are reaching uh 10 km you will be asked to go into low power mode and the turtle symbols symbol arrived at the display. Okay that’s uh all folks. Thanks a lot for watching.
