hello friends family world Luke here with another video for those of you unfamiliar with our Channel my husband Tyler and I make weekly travel videos every Thursday documenting our travel experiences since moving from North America to the UK in our current euro trip 2019 series we’re discussing our experiences traveling over the summer of 2019 visiting a variety of European destinations including Switzerland Austria Paris the Faroe Islands and more so be sure to tune in every Thursday to watch that and if you’d like to start from the beginning click on the little I button on the top right of your screen to access the euro trip 2019 playlist and then click on episode 1 to start from the beginning we also have a blog at Luke and Tyler comm where we post about the itineraries as well as the photography that we take on these trips so be sure to check that out if you haven’t already from where we last left off we were in Graz in the Styrian region of Austria from here we used our Eurorail pass to travel from Grass to Vienna by train we arrived in Vienna in the afternoon so had a fair amount of time to explore some of the city for the day we headed first to the museum’s closed here which is a popular area of Venice in which as you can imagine holds the majority of the fine art museums in Vienna even if you aren’t an art aficionado just walking around this area and appreciating the architecture of the outside of these buildings is enough of an experience in and of itself we had anticipated Vienna would be beautiful but we were really blown away by how beautiful it really was we went to a little cafe within the museum Scorpia and enjoyed some coffee and Vienna sausage on from here we continued to the mirror-image buildings in mafia Papazian plots and the building blocks towards the Hofburg palace complex this is just some among many of picturesque areas to explore in Vienna afterwards we had the unexpected and spontaneous experience of being able to get discounted tickets to see the Vienna residents orchestra where they were featuring music by Mozart in case you didn’t know was from Vienna the show also featured a little bit of ballet and opera thrown in there this was a really fun and unexpected experience and we enjoyed some champagne to commemorate the occasion the performance itself was really a delight and something we would recommend to anyone visiting Vienna the next morning we took a train from Vienna to the waha Valley region our first stop here was melk abbey which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Melk this is a former Benedictine monastery built in the 11th century on the top of the hill we spent the morning exploring the abbey as well as the museum that’s connected to it and also appreciating the surrounding exterior views [Music] afterwards we rented bikes at a nearby bike stop through a company called next bike we were able to do this all through our smartphones and it was quite seamless and affordable this allowed us to pick up our bikes in milk and then drop them off at where we planned on finishing the bike route in the town of Clarence we followed the scenic bike path along the Danube River and had such a pleasant day taking our time and appreciating all of the beautiful scenery ahead of us there’s just something about exploring a region by bike that makes it that much more special than just walking or taking the train the bike path is really straightforward and you stop through a number of really cute smaller towns and we can’t recommend this experience enough [Music] there also happen to be several wineries along the way that you can enjoy as well [Music] once we reached cremes we dropped off our bikes and took the train back to Vienna alright guys that is it for this video stay tuned for our next video where I’ll feature part two of our experience in Vienna as well as a taste of Frankfurt Germany if you haven’t already be sure to comment like and subscribe and I’ll see you at the next video next Thursday see you then bye [Music]
