[Music] It’s coming out of Veraf Franka. [Music] Early morning. Sun hasn’t come across the mountains yet. Really nice. Windy though. 14° or so. It’s a bit of chill which is a nice change must say. It feels good. Lying up ahead. the sore ankle still and other bits, but ankle at the moment. I’ve taped it up. Um, taking an anti-inflammatory, so hopefully she’ll be good to go in another 15 minutes or so. Excellent little town. Do you like it, L? Yeah. [Music] Excuse me. Some awesome churches. Yeah. Although we didn’t get to go in the the church as much, but Yeah. Exactly. That’s really good. a great stay. Even though we didn’t allot or donate to that’s why it was a great stay. Last two nights have had excellent beds which has been good. Got a tapper behind us coming up. I finally got stops for mine. Only lost one of hers, so I give her one of my stoppers. So, I’ve been stopperless for a few stages. So, up through the valley we go to. Where are we going today? Our last stop today is Aarius. Aarius. Beautiful little town. Yep. Awesome little town. One of our favorites. We stop until we climb up the hill tomorrow into Yep. [Music] for the big hill. Come across the line. Slightly easier than last year. You think just a bit, honey? Yeah. Hang on. Come across over. I’ll use weight on the edge of there and I’ll go across to that white pole over there and get a bit of footage of these two dudes behind us go the guys in the white tops that annoy us back and forwards school the other day. Yeah. Let’s try Following the river at the moment, winding down through the valley. You got anything profound to say this morning, Lonnie? No, except the temperature is sensational. You’ve just got a t-shirt on. Everyone else has got a at least a long sleeve. Yeah. So, I wrapped tight. Hm. Come through a nice little village. First one since Villa Frana. Yeah, a couple of really old places and people fixing them up or the town. Not sure if they all go from place to place over the years fixing up each one so that the town stays true to itself or not. But lots of them are kind of like this. There’s some big uh what do you call them, Lonnie? Hydrangeas. Hydrangeas. Lonnie does love her hydrangeas. Look at the pots in this place. I love the just the rusticness of it. And I look at that brick work and I think, oh, you know, take a long time, but I could probably do that. Huh. It’s cool. Oh, little coffee place. It’s nice. I’m happy to stop. Ah, I know. I’m enjoying well as long as you are otherwise we got to warm up again starting to hurt then let this noisy guy Okay. Mhm. It’s coming into trad or something over there. I think might know here real well in a second. So, we’ve come right up the valley, followed the river all the way through. Really nice. Lots of highway and overpasses, but they just bypass really. Um, it’s a really nice walk road walking or on the edge of the road, but it’s fine. It’s a nice relax. No major hills either. Wow. The Trevadella and we get something to eat and a coffee. ancient uh chestnut trees all the way through the valley here from about half a kilometer ago all the way up the hill up to a town called Pradella as well which uh they’re everywhere up there. Chestnut groves but the trees get huge. Still coming into the trapadella. Beautiful walk. This is where we stayed last year. across the road to the left. Yeah. Swimming pool. Uh actually my office and the actual uh bar and other sleeping quarters on the right hand side there. Really good. So the feed in the pool last year. Uh we were here in April, I think I said, but there was pollen absolutely everywhere last year, wasn’t there? Remember? Yeah. Floating around. It was almost like snow. knew there was that much of it. It’s uh it’s great to get that contrast. Anyway, we’ll go another coffee and maybe cake. Also an Australian owned alber further up here. We’ll have a look when we go past Suzie. So that’s killing me now. Starting again. That’s what darling. That kills me now. Starting again like that. Yeah. Couple of sawmills around lumber up through the hills. Nice color. Getting our way through. [Music] [Music] Yeah, that’s great. Oh yeah, I thought it was on the other side of the road, but it’s coming up to Kaza Suzi. And we mentioned it because obviously we’re from Australia and the lady that owns it is Australian and her husband um I forget he’s Spanish. I think yeah supposed to be very very good homecooked meals. Yeah. Lots of produce from the gardens. Um vegan very friendly. Yep. So great place to stay. So we’ve seen and heard reviews even though wouldn’t stay there ourselves. We were going to but didn’t work out with our our uh stage selection but next time. Remember where we come down the hill into the back over here somewhere. Yes, I do too. Yeah. Mhm. Some of these places been fixed up so well. Yeah. It’s a fountain. This is where we come down through the back of here. It is beautiful. Yeah. Nice little lazy town to live in, wouldn’t it? Part of me dislikes sit back into it. Yeah. Part of me loves this. Have a little garden. And although More in the middle of nowhere be better away from the highway. But same sort of town though, right? Yeah. Live the quiet life, write books. Let’s go. Hold up. I see you. Lots of nice birds in that though, isn’t there? Hello. No one. It’s good. Nice. Good swim. Yeah. Looks really nice, doesn’t it? [Music] This was all closed up last year when we come through in April, but it looks beautiful down there now. Oh, magnificent. Beautiful. I say beautiful. Really does. Great place to stay, I reckon. Anyway, still on our way. 14.24 km so far down today. See about 618 m altitude. Must be pushing 24 25° I think. But the sun’s not really over the hill. So, we’ve been in the shade a fair bit which is which is really nice. half past 10 in the morning. Great day. Might be a bit of road walking here going up through this valley, but it’s really good. I love it. Been beside the river all the way since the last the town we slept in last night. Verranka well over 12 km now right beside the river. It’s coming into another town. One of the most pleasing and enjoyable parts of the way so far and best measure do you know how to say that Lonnieas Lovely. A nice Spanish roses in full bloom. Apricot. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] It’s open, too. It’s open. [Applause] Yeah. So this uh excellent little place here on the corner tucked away [Music] here last year. Best cake from the Camino. Orange cake. So good. So we come here again. Excellent little space to just sit and chill. Just on the corner, just after town, beautiful. So, do yourself a favor and come in here and have some lunch. Two beautiful dogs. And here, my boxer. Hey, buddy. [Music] [Music] see buddy likes sitting here and he watches for the cars. Has to be a certain kind of car like maybe a truck and then he’ll chase it down around the edge here. He’s worn a little track. Quick view out the front of our burger tonight. Stayed here last year as well. This year we’re right in the front on the balcony. Really nice. Lucky. Just had dinner. [Music] Bean and potato uh thick soup. Like a broth be really good. Ve and peppers, potatoes and eggs for a main meal and ice cream cake for dessert. [Music] Loud.
