I just upgraded to from my Tiagra crankset on my bike (FC-4700) and I noticed it came from the manufacturer installed with these two circular spacers (1 or 2 mm thick) on each side of the crankset. When I installed my new 105 set it didn’t come with a set of spacers. Do I need to keep these on the bike or are they unnecessary as long as the chainline is okay? It’s a Canyon Endurace AL for reference.
