Part 2 of my motorcycle trip across France – and the final day on the road.
I rode 150 miles from Artres through the Somme, stopping at several First World War memorials, including the Australian National Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux and the Pozieres battlefield.
As an Australian, this was an emotional and powerful experience – riding through the peaceful countryside where so many fought and fell over a century ago. The weather was perfect (and seriously hot!) as I made my way back to Dieppe to catch the evening ferry home.
Join me for this reflective ride through history, stunning landscapes, and a very memorable final day in France.

  1. Thanks for watching Part 2 — the final day of my France motorcycle trip! 🇫🇷🏍
This ride through the Somme and visiting the WW1 memorials was really special for me as an Aussie — especially stopping at Pozieres and Villers-Bretonneux.
Have you ever visited the Somme or any WW1 sites in France?
Or done a motorcycle trip through Europe?
Let me know in the comments — I’d love to hear your experiences!
