A two week trip from Southern Spain to the Stelvio Pass, riding through France, Italy and Switzerland. 5500 kms in 12 days.
Day 9, the forecast is torrential rain. I take my chances and try to find the gaps in the weather — there are mountain passes, hairpins, empty borders, and of course, more rain.

🚵♂️ Hairpin turns, border crossings, and relentless alpine rain!
Good morning. I am in a place near Brig. It’s raining. It’s forecast last night forecast to be hammering down all day everywhere. I play 5 hours of it. It says now between 10 and 12 here it won’t rain. And then from 12 after after the board, it won’t rain. But that in between bit there, it’s going to rain. So I went to me box check out what waterproof’s got this massive waterproof coat. Waterproof bottoms, waterproof gloves, boots are waterproof. I’m good. Makes me happy. It’s about 8:00. I’ve been down. Had breakfast. I had boiled egg toast. I had um quasant orange juice, cup of tea, and I took an apple and I made up a ham and cheese roll. That’s better lunch later. 5 hours to Shambbury. Staying in the I hotel last time. Same in a budget one this time. I mean, that was pretty budget. It’s 5 hours. I’m in France. Then from there back down towards Mway and B had a look been everywhere. Started so happy I packed this one. So happy rain coming at me but I should be all right. Well, I was thinking I’m going to be rain soaking wet stuck to me for cold hours. It’s going to be hell. Yeah, it I’ll be right. So I’m going to pack up and go till later. [Music] Leaving the hotel at Glorian. The air is thick. The skies bruised with rain. Clouds press low over the valley. It’s going to pour. Rain, rain, and more rain. Perfect. [Music] Wa! That was a bit close for comfy. Seems the bigger the vehicle, the bigger the If quick splash and dash before the border, petrol’s too da in Switzerland. [Music] The clouds are thickening. The rain is moving in fast. [Music] It’s really coming down now. I’m starting to climb now and I can tell I’m not far from the French border. [Music] Hair pin after hair pin. A little hairy in these conditions. [Music] As I reach a peak, the clouds begin to thin. From here, it’s all downhill, straight into France. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Wow. Right on the border. I spot some public tourists across the road. A quick pit stop before the border. [Music] Don’t forget to click the like and subscribe button. It’s free and it helps others find these adventures. rain. Just 3 hours of rain. A bit of rain, but not to get me wet. Just in case. [Music] I reached the border point. It’s deserted. Ah, Switzerland. Bonjour, France. [Music] I’m not out of the way of the weather yet. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] I want you world. Whatever the world wants you. Heat. Heat. [Music] The first of many Roblox versions. All thanks to the Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. At the front of every line there’s always a caliber and I’m always driving too fast. So I am uh 50 clicks outside Chamb 48 km away. Done 250 over 28 km or whatever it was and I got bit drizzle. I mean, if I hadn’t been wearing this gear, had I been wet, what I thought would be 5 hours of water through to the bone. Shivering, freezing cold. Thought it was going to be awful. So, I woke up 10 to 7. I’m going to get some breakfast, some time to have a look at maps, try and figure out when the gap look, but I think there’s a gap. I bumped everything on my bike half eight way where it said it was going to be absolutely but it said it was going to be about 11:00 and went through there 10 to 11. I have rained on but not much you know. So super happy I escaped that ate the rain. I’ve got 54 minutes to go. So obviously a lot more of these mountainy type roads. Well 60 km an hour. Got 54 minutes till I get to the hotel. Check in, get showered, and get some food. Supermarket will be closed, so I shall eat out. I think the only thing I got left my food fingers, noodles. So yeah, I’ll eat I’ll eat out. Let’s push on, shall we? Tomorrow I decide where to go towards Monaco. A full hold up for Le. Might as well strip this wet gear off while I wait. [Applause] for in Afghanistan. Revolution is in South Africa taking people in Europe of oppression. But it’s going to be all right cuz the music forever. [Applause] [Music] I’ve missed it. Oh yeah. Yeah, it was there. It was just time. I just put it here. It’s a bit small, but [Music] more legs down there. Perfect. [Music] Don’t forget to click the like and subscribe button. It’s free.
