I purchased my first adult bike as a graduate student in 2011. It made way more sense to commute by bike rather than pay for a parking pass and walk halfway across campus. And then a funny thing happened: I fell in love with cycling.
My commuter has more than paid for itself over the past 14 years, and it saw me graduate with my doctorate, move across the country, and start my career as a college professor that still cycles to work.
I’m happy to pass it along to a good friend so he can start commuting by bike, and I’m really excited for my new Specialized Allez to commute on!
