The Forte Brothers — Toby, Kye, and Leo — are some of the most talented and influential riders ever to come out of the UK scene. From the dirt jumps of Newton Abbot to global freeride fame, these guys helped shape what British riding looked like — raw, stylish, and built by hand.
Toby and Kye pushed the limits through the 2000s with massive tricks, magazine covers, and video parts that inspired a whole generation. Leo carried that same DNA forward with his own creative riding and flow.
And today, Kye continues to leave his mark through Forte Trailscapes, building some of the best pump tracks and trails in the UK.
This is the story of the Forte Brothers — the family that turned digging and dirt into an art form.

In the heart of Devon, three brothers turned wood, dirt, and determination into one of the most respected names in the UK biking scene. Toby, Kai, and Leo Forto, a family built on two wheels and a whole lot of shovel work. From backyard trails to global contests, these three changed the way for British dirt and free ride. This is the story of the Forte brothers, the UK’s most hardcore family and bikes. Night will the night. Before YouTube edits, bike park sponsorships, there was Newton Abbert, a small Devon town where the Forte brothers grew up surrounded by mud jumps and the sound of free wheels buzzing. older brother Toby Ford. To kick things off, he was a builder, a racer, and straightup trail legend. His backyard builds and early comps helped shape what would become the UK’s dirt jump scene. Then came Kai and Leo. Equally fearless, equally talented, and ready to push things even further. The Forte name quickly became synonymous with style and aggression. Big 360s, huge whips, and that trademark Devon Dirt. Kaiforte led the charge on the BMX and mountain bike scene. Smooth, powerful, and fearless. He could ride anything, trails, park, downhill, even huge free ride lines. Leo, the youngest, added finesse. His riding had that creative edge, turning every jump into a moment. While the Athenans were flying the flag for British downhill on the world stage, the Forte brothers were the underground heroes. Raw, muddy, and doing it purely for the love. I’s talent couldn’t stay hidden for long. He blew up on the BMX dirt jump scene. Riding events like Red Bull, Empire of Dirt, King of Dirt, and plenty of international comps. He even rode for Red Bull and Marin, showing the world what a Devon rider could do with a bit of speed and a lot of guts. He wasn’t just competing, he was representing the UK’s DIY riding spirit on the world’s biggest stage. While some riders chased big sponsors and glossy edits, the Forte brothers stayed grounded. Literally, they built and maintained some of the best trails in the country, keeping the local scene alive. Their digs became training grounds, hangouts, and test labs for the next generation. They weren’t in it for the money or fame, just for the simple joy of flowing through the dirt they built themselves. These days, Kai is still building, but now on a whole new level. Through his company, Forte Trailscapes, he’s designed and constructed some of the UK’s best trails and pump tracks. From community parks to prolevel pump tracks, his builds are next level. Perfectly sculptured, fast, and fun for every kind of rider. It’s like everything he learned from years of racing, digging, and crashing has been poured into every burm and roller. He’s still shaping the UK scene, just now with a digger instead of a spade. Leo Forte kept the same energy, taking his riding and creativity into new projects. From film and art to helping grow the local scene in his own way, the fores have never been about spotlight or eco. They always been about riding, building, and community. From the fields of Newton Abbert to global dirt comps and now trail builds across the UK, the Forte brothers have shaped every corner of the scene. They’ve inspired countless riders to dig their own spots, ride for fun, and stayed true to what makes riding great, passion, mates, and mud. The Forte brothers didn’t just ride bikes. They built a movement. From Toby’s early trails to Ka’s Red Bull Runs and now Forte Trailscapes. Their legacy keeps evolving. Three brothers, one vision, and one massive contribution to British riding. The Forte brothers, the definition of homegrown heroes.
