When me and Truth Hurts 101UK found a fire door left open at the Britannia Hotel in Wolverhampton, we had to take a look.

Inside we saw foreign chefs in uniform, machines serving coffee, juice and soup, and a noticeboard full of info for the new residents — our new neighbours.
It didn’t look like any normal hotel.

From what we saw, this place is clearly being used to house migrants, refugees and asylum seekers — just like hundreds of other hotels across the UK right now.

👀 The full inside report from here and the nearby Goldthorn Hotel is coming soon — make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it.

So, who have you got staying here now? We’re We’re having a protest outside this weekend. M. Please leave the premises. Yeah, you’re live on that one as well. Please leave the premises, Mr. No, this is private property. Please leave the premises. So, how many how many uh this is private property? Yeah, guys, just doing a quick Tik Tok live on the hotel. That’s all. She’s getting a bit wild. Nice one. Take care. Yeah, we’re leaving. Yeah, boys. You good? How you doing? doing a Tik Tok and I just Yeah, man. RBR. R I’ll be I think I saw you. Yeah, we’re having a little protest here again the weekend. What’s that? What are you even doing? We don’t know, mate. We don’t know. So, you’re just asking them about the protest. See what’s going on and what not. Seeing who’s in here cuz they seem to be putting kids toys up at the windows as well. Kids toys. Kids toys up at the windows. They do. A lot of the hotels there’s no kids in there that we know to. So they put kids toys at the windows as a decoy. So when people with cameras walk by, they think, “Oh, it’s got families in.” Uh, but yeah, I don’t know if you guys know, I’m one of the protest leaders. So I’m Ryan. We’re having a protest here this Sunday in Wolverampton. Um, at work, I think some details from me so we can make aware. No, absolutely. No, that’s no. Uh,

  2. 🚨 Asylum Hotels & Far-Right Protests? "Racist" Labels from Union-Funded Counters – Opt Out Your Fees

    Hey fellow workers,

If you're in a UK union like Unite, UNISON, USDAW, or TUC affiliates (e.g., NEU, EIS), a chunk of fees (£5-10/month) might go to the political fund—if opted in. This backs anti-racism like Stand Up to Racism (SUTR) events.

But at asylum hotel protests (families scared for kids from harassment reports) and other anti-immigration rallies, SUTR counters often yell "racist." Unfair to many—it's safety first, not hate. Examples: Unite the Kingdom rally (Sep 13, London, 110k attendees vs. 5k SUTR counter); Walsall far-right demo (Aug 16); Glasgow George Square rally (Aug); Carshalton event (Oct 19); Haringey leafleting (Oct 19). All saw clashes and smears.

The Issue: Fees indirectly fund those one-sided shouts.

Fix It: Opt out—easy, keeps perks.

    3 Steps (for Your Union):

Copy: "I object to paying into the political fund and want to be exempt, as in Chapter VI of the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1992." Add name, # (on card), address, date. Sign.

Email your union's team (e.g., Unite: membershipservices@unitetheunion.org; UNISON: contactcentre@unison.co.uk). Example:

    Dear Team,

Opt-out: "I object to paying into the political fund and want to be exempt, as in Chapter VI of the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1992."

Name: John Doe, #123456, Address: 123 St, Date: 18/10/25.

    Signed. Confirm now.

    Regards, John

(Post to HQ or call helpline for form.)

Confirm soon—fees drop next pay. No reply? Follow up.

More at your union site or GOV.UK ("opt out union political fund").

    Your call—protect kids, not labels.

    Yours sincerely,

    A Fellow Worker
