We kind of went into survival mode: getting lost in the forest, trying to find a place to camp, getting caught by a huge storm, and attempting to make a fire when everything was wet after a long night of rain. Since we shipped the bicycles all the way from Bali, we couldn’t not test them first in our country before moving anywhere else. So, we signed up to join a friend on a ride in Mida, Lithuania, a coastal region known for its dune sands, beaches, cycling trails, and where, let’s say, the rich and famous spend their time, but we experienced it in a way no one else does. How did it go? Well, by now you should know us. Nothing ever goes smoothly. We must get lost. We must get caught by the weather. We still insist on camping. And we must try to make a fire in the rain just to get warm. I mean, it kind of turned into survival mode. And the best part, we don’t give up. In fact, the adrenaline excites us. We love adventures. And want to know what’s even crazier? We had never really cycled before. But first, let’s recap. This is Uki. This is Tokyo. And I’m Chlo. We’re based in Bali and just went on a trip to visit our families and make a little turn in Europe. But before moving anywhere with those bicycles, we had to test them first. Summer. Welcome to the summer of Lithuania. Here you go. Yeah, it’s plus 16. We’re doing great. We’re training for the worst. We always start by the worst, actually. You know, like hard roads, not the best weather, cold. Yeah. like our first challenge in the Nagdara. Oh yeah. But then it’s going to be fine. That’s good. Everything else going to look smooth. We got to get the tickets and it’s 10 minutes away. Okay, I guess we’ve made it on time. Ugi is getting the tickets. So, most probably we’re getting in in Tokyo. Tokyo. I don’t know what we created for him, but we couldn’t find anything that fits that bike. And that’s the best we could find. Do it yourself. The plan is to get from the city of Ugi called Rokushkis to the city of Konas by bus. It takes around 4 hours. And from there, we’ll meet our friend Indre, who’s going to pick us up with a car and drive us to the region of Clay Pada, where we’re going to take a 5-minute ferry to Nida. And you can’t find many shops anyways. So, we going to try to make a fire like somewhere where it’s a little bit dry and just try to make she’s thinking to do it under the table or we’ll see. Okay.
