I was fortunate enough today to test ride both the Electric C and P Line today in London. I had thoughts to test ride the Electric T Line but with a £750 dollar deposit and waiver, I thought that can pass.
Initial Impression:
1. It felt quicker and smoother:
Due to the electric motor being on the rear, there was an element of a push and not a pull. The delivery of the power was smooth and it felt similar to riding a ride-share bike like Lime or Forest in the UK. The P Line did feel a bit more nippier, possibly due to the reduced weight but the margins were not entirely noticeable.

The weight:
Now, they are not light bikes but with the improved weight distribution across the bike as compared to being front heavy, this means the bike is a lot more stable when being rolled or shouldered (I like to place the bike on my shoulder with the post up) meaning it remains stable and balanced. The difference between the two is minimal, only 1.5kg between them and for me, that is not a big enough different to justify the cost. -
P Line has subtle differences:
There is a clamp stopper on the P Line, stopping from the clamp from moving from its original position which I assume could be put onto the C Line. The aluminium stem is a nice addition but did not feel a huge difference to the steel one. It does feel “cheaper” and I do not like how they have not coloured it. I don’t know if this was due to difference in tyres or PSI but the P line did feel softer over bumps along the test drive. I do prefer the folding nature of the pedals on the C Line. -
The Bag:
The bag feels more usable now but I assume newer bags are being released so will see in the future. -
The New Screen
Great addition but nothing revolutionary. It has 3 separate sections: speed, timing and distance. There is a feature where you can get a little boost too which you can use when walking or at a stop light. The issue is that it is slow to engage and quicker to just pedal. It is also a two click procedure and therefore a little cumbersome. It is nice however to see something a little more modern.
Overall:
I think the new electric range is a great step forward. It is an improvement of the older system and much more refined. I personally do feel the C Line is the one to get. Plum Red is also a great choice, but so is Dune Sand.
Any questions, happy to answer!
