and welcome back to my channel. It’s Sunday afternoon. It’s nice and warm. It’s sunny outside. So, let’s go for a bike ride. Andrea’s come with me heading down towards uh the riverway down Fatfield in Washington. I’m taking my bike with us, a mountain bike, rather than the beast. That needs a huge repair job. I think I should have done it today actually. But go out the mountain bike. Hot tield cam deal hard 7. Andre on her Carrera Hustle. Very nice bike. So without further ado, let’s do this. Check the tires first. Make sure you don’t have to blow them up. Then off we go. You coming? I will then. I’ve um if you watch me last video, I had to come home and do the garden shed. They put their new felt up. Done. That looks divine now. Right. Let’s continue. Divine place called Deield at Osworth. Albany straight ahead. Going alongside Pit Road now. Washington enough pit straight ahead of us on the left hand side of the road. I’m going to head into my childhood street. This street is Enil in Albany. I actually grew up in this street. House straight ahead. White white house on the end. I grew up in that house between the age of 6 and 18. Lovely place. Heading toward Albony Center now. Just 2 minutes away. Can’t ride so far. Now we’re heading off towards Blackfell now which is about another 5m minute ride and that’s the highest point then head ox close head towards the riverway fatfield. Right heading into Blackville now I think I’m just seeing off camera today. So Mark be fair like just to move around me hometown today in black just now. Yeah. Rather than go through the streets which is there to the ring road towards the air bridge which takes us in Ox Clause. Again another place I used to live in striding edge. four places. Uh quite a few years ago now to 20 years ago, I actually I actually liked it, but I wanted to live down close to my family down Concord. All right. Right. Coming up that bridge now. This road, this bridge goes to the 1 231. Head that way. You head towards the A1 A1M North. Go that way and take towards Sunderland. This way. Oxross. Oxross center. Now my son Jake goes to this school. Now I’m going to head down here towards Lampton. Yeah. Ox Gross Primary H Academy. Straight down this road. No. Andrew thought we were going a different way, but nope. We’ll go down here, turn right, and head into lamp. And that takes us into Harton and then the southern plane fields and then I place Journals past the Latin castle the gates but it’s all closed off now anyway and then um down the riverway fatfield bridge and then back up towards Columbia. That’s it. All right, we’re headed into lamp now. Nice place to stay like but got family who live here. Well, I save family. Um, go on here, Andrew. Go on here. I’ll go past the old Nana’s house. Bless her. No longer with us. I say it’s a nice looks a decent area this day, but you know, apart from family, I don’t know anyone who lives around here. Lamping center is just around the corner. All right. Lamping center there. CL actually works. Lamp roundabout again that goes towards sun Washington that facing north towards A1M. And now we’re heading towards Harton where we’re under this real estate as well. Right. Heading into Hariton now. Uh this here it’s just going over the cycle track. It’s um it’s part of the coast to coast track. That way, head towards Roa. If you head that way, it take you to the uh White Haven. And no, I’m not going to do it cuz I’m not fit enough. Mean dad’s done it though. Dad’s done everything, you know. Dad did a land on a grow one day. Very sporty fella. Very active, very fit. Oh yeah. Tell you what, it’s nice and warm in it, Andrea. It’s boiling. It’s boiling. It’s October now. Doesn’t feel like it. I know. T-shirts on. Brilliant. Right. I’m just got free sunlight. But yeah, but anyway, heading to Harton now. People coming. So, I’m going to end this video here and then heading to Rickleton, then Southern Planefields, and then down to Generalswood Fatfield and go from there. Well, then let’s crack on. Just down between Haron and Rickleton pig tree whatever nice there like isn’t it I don’t know anyone who lives in Rickle no one different place would take Washington this area here towards the southern plane feels. That there is part of Lton’s land. Used to be like a lion park there. It’s before my days like Yeah. Oh, there’s a little trail going down there. Oh, yeah. Used to be old lion pond. Lion park. All right, crack on paper. All right, we took the wrong turn and we’re not going past the southern plane fields at all. We’re in back in Harton. We’re heading towards uh the riverside. head back towards the riverside at Fatfield and then head back up towards um maybe Cox Drain or Columbia. We’ll see another nice area of Washington bottom of Fatfield towards the riverside. It’s nice here like nice houses. The parking side of the road there’s kids there so I’m not filming that. Think about in a minute. Come to the riverside now. This first bar here, it’s had a couple of famous people in over the years. Paul McCartney, Jack Reish was there last year. I don’t know what Jack Reish was there for like North Bic social club. Uh Paul McCartney when he was married to Heather Mills who she was from Washington and then Jack Reedish god knows how he ended here but yeah the river bar the harlock couple bars me and Andrew’s first date was down here back in 1999. Wow long time ago there bridge here and there in nice pub that not been in for a while like but still canny. It’s always had a decent reputation. Not like a good reputation. Sorry. Fatfield Bridge. Heading down here towards Cox Train. The iron bridge. See one of your videos a couple weeks ago. Nice place. Lem house there. Beautiful. Jar in there. Fatfield Riverway dog is car park. Hey Victoria Book Bridge soon to be a metro bridge. We’ll see. Been seeing it for years, but written by 33 we could have a metro going over that going from uh from Po through Washington and then to um South Hilton. Can you spot to take a photograph of the Victoria Bridge in it? Yes, I did take one. Head that way. It’s kind of busy around here. All right. Not a good idea riding slow on one hand. I get off and walk because these have got no intention to move out the way. They’ve seen us come come a couple of times and they just won’t budge. They’re always more evil. I just bought them all the way. Coming towards the um iron bridge at Cox Green. Now this is where we start heading away from the river back towards home to Osworth. Another 3 miles to go. So been a caddyy ride. Nice weather for it. Come for a few minutes. sees it in land past Darren way ends up middle Penine somewhere that way there heads towards uh Roa and into the North Sea obviously not Pacific Ocean this bit here used to have a like a ferry crossing I think it’s before this bridge was here like up in Canada I think yeah so this is green iron bridge I went for a walk around here um a few weeks ago. Really, really enjoyed it. Now you’ve got another 3 miles to go on this bike. Head towards Teal Farm and Farmson maybe and then back towards um Sgrave and then Kongwood home towards Osworth. Should take about half an hour. Go along here. It’s a coast to coast path towards ROA. A little bit uphill coming up behind brings out towards Tail Farm Pub. We’ve got no wallet with us. We’ve got no money with us. Could have could have snuck a paint. Never mind that. That’s how he uses the phone. We’ll see. We’re teal farm now shops. Teal farm pub got the bank card with us. Seems we go straight ahead. Heading towards Bson now. Let’s go past these a lotments. or we ra tracks holding to the new metro system if it comes here comes alongside this. We’ll see by 33 they said we will bloody see. I need both hands for this like this bit of a dip. Come alongside the trains track the train tracks now again it could be the new metro system 2033 new metro line so they say anyway been seeing it for years linking po to South Hilton by Washington been seeing it for years they it’s happening this time we’ll bloody see just turned off towards uh JD Gyms, our old gym. We do pure now McDonald’s there as well. So tempting garden center go there soon to have a look at the Christmas stuff very much. Hey all, it’s currently shut garden center. Decent decent lights in there. But for the Christmas for the Christmas and that, can he? Anyh who, ignore McDonald’s. She’s there. She’s away. Right. Carry on. She’s looked just behind. How dirty. Unbelievable. Why? Some Chris Borman. Right. See if I can catch her up. Here we go. Where is she? Where is she? She’s behind me. Ah, don’t know they’re pointing the right direction or not. Fire station there. Turn left. Follow the ambulance. Take us home. Just heading into Concord now from Sgrave. So grave up there. Uh it’s been a canoe on this one. We’re going to do 10 miles in total by the time we get home. Not too bad. About to hit foot street about 2 3 minutes. Conor Front Street. Couple of pubs here. The middle the bird the tavern for the bird and then fed up. It’s a Gregs. Can’t go front street. Well spoons over the road. Greg’s at the top. Bus station around the corner. How exciting. Right, I’m back. Take off here. I wear a lanyard now for when I give me a GoPro. Um anyway, I’m back at the house now. Um I forgot to say goodbye during the ride. So yeah, that was uh from Osworth to Albany to Blackfell, Oxlo, Lampton, Harton, outskirts of Rickleton, Harton again I think Vgo Lane um and then down um down to Fatfield along the river towards Cox Green Bridge up towards Tail Teal Farm through Balmston pass towards Sgrave and then Concord than then here. So, it’s not the most exciting ride. Yeah, I know. But I’ll show you the route I did. It’s all right. Did 10.3 miles or so. 10.4 miles. It’s not too bad, is it? Yeah. So, I just wanted to get out and do a bike ride. Got a little visitor here. Teddy. Hey, son. Yes, Teddy. He’s nuts. Hello, son. What are you doing, Teddy? Teddy. And he’s gone. Right.
