Nala cat camping in CROATIA 😻❤️ VLOG #64

Nala and I were lucky and got a few dry nights 😻 We spent the first night in our sleeping bag on a bench, and set up our tent for the second. Nala wasn’t too happy about having to sleep inside as she could hear mice all the time, but with eagles and wild boars right outside the tent I thought it’d be to play it safe. After cycling for 60 miles we arrived in Varazdin where we’ll be staying for a few days❤️.

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. Oh big yawn, big yawn Hello Ohhhh big stretch Eh you’re so warm You’re so warm So aye this is where we set up camp last night I didn’t do any recording last night because I didn’t want any lights to bring attention to me So Beautiful spot Nice lean too, it was sheltered, I’m pretty sure it did rain during the night And aye, I just slept on this bench 10 out of 10 sleep Anyway gonna get up, it is now quarter past 7 Gonna get up Take Nala a walk, pack all this away And then get back on the bike so yeah let’s do it Oi Excuse me Excuse me Come on you’ve got this oi come on you’ve got this Jump Jump come on Yeees that’s my girl In we go, in we go Good girl Good girl Right let’s start cycling So stopped for a wee break and, aye, Nala is quite happy playing in the hunting the mice so gonna put the camping chair up and just sit and wait till she’s ready to get back on the bike You good? At least it’s a nice warm day today and there’s not much wind so I’m not complaining Gonna go for a nap *snoring* *snoring* *snoring* Mmmmmaaaah Uahhhhhhh And away we go I’m coming hold on There we go wee man safer there, oh there’s some flies there as well Cheerio That’s the spot, that’s the spot So beautiful wee camping spot we found tonight next to a wee river The road is just down there This is usually a good place to let Nala off because she’s not going to go that way and there’s a field there she’ll probably just play in but I don’t know if you’ll be able to hear it but we’ve got 2 eagles or something just up here There we go did you hear that? So yeah that’s another thing we’ve got to watch out for when we’re setting up camp as well So I’m gonna set up the tent quickly and then yeah take her a wee walk so I’ll just have to keep her on the lead tonight again So aye, let’s get the tent set up You coming? Good girl, so I think that’s us all set up Beautiful camp spot Ohhhh and for dinner tonight Got some butternut squash soup and picked up a couple of rolls as well so Beautiful, have that later on when the sun goes down I mean it’s only about half 4 just now and it’s getting dark already Right we’re going this way Look how you can see her tail going already and her ears are already perking up so Aye I’ll most probably be spending half my night in this field just standing here, great It’s probably not the best place I’ve chosen to camp, I can hear mice everywhere If you just sit and listen, they’re just, aye scurrying about everywhere, she’s going wild I’ve also just about 10 minutes ago heard some wild boar pigs over in that wood there screeching so Could be an interesting night What’s up guys well it is absolutely freezing tonight I’ve just been looking at the weather forecast and next week it’s to get down into below zero so aye it’s gonna get colder Got my soup here ready to go just before I go to sleep give me a nice warm belly and the pig noises they’re getting louder just playing across the stream there So that should be fun got my crocs at the front door ready to run if I need to Aye that’s it good night see you in the morning Is that nice? Look at your face Goooooooood morning Well it’s now 10 to 7 had a brilliant sleep Nala slept all night as well actually she was sleeping in this bed here and I had this wee cover just going over her You ready to go out? Anyway I can’t see the camera but let’s go outside the tent and see what it’s like and then pack up and get back on the bike Yes yes Ehh you can push at the bottom there you wee lazy kit Ohhhh yes right now be careful for eagles please Come on, go Beautiful morning, wee bit chilly, everything is soaking which will be nice putting that away And the bike’s still here Alright let’s get this all packed up and let’s get on the road Right right leave it leave it leave it leave it leave it it’s okay wee man it’s okay So does she ever catch mice? Come on we’ll go and put him back, come here Come here What a beautiful wee thing And away he goes again, I’m sorry but well done well done good catch Good catch Good catch but he’s gone, got to let him go Right continue packing up you can keep hunting mice Whoops a daisy up we go Well it said it was going to be sunny today but no sign of the sun just yet We’re a wee bit late setting off it’s now half 8 we were going to be away for about half 7, 8 o’clock because I think we’re going to do quite a big cycle today I think we’re going to aim for about 60 miles which should be about 8 hours to get us into a city So aye, better stop talking and start cycling, see you soon And I knew this would happen 2 minutes into the cycle she wants to go to the toilet because she was too busy chasing mice this morning so she never went So 2 minutes in we’ve had to stop already and another thing I’ll show you, if you come over here So we were camping at the other side of these woods and there’s an electric fence going around them on this side and the wire’s down low so I’m guessing there is wild boar in there and that electric fence just to stop them coming over to these houses So aye, we heard the pigs last night and that was probably wild boar Right you ready? Hello Yes Nala wants to see you as well but nooo Can you smell cat? Can you smell cat Can you smell cat? Right calm yourself, calm yourself, calm down Dogs man, they hate hate my bike I mean you kind of get used to it that’s not even that bad but by the time you get down to Greece there’s just dogs everywhere you get surrounded by like packs of 15 all strays So it’s quite horrible sometimes sometimes you get total surrounded and you’ve just got to hope for the best really Absolutely smashed it the day, done 60 miles I thought I was gonna get there when it’s dark but it’s now 4 o’clock on the dot So aye we’ve got a wee hotel we’ve booked for the night and we’re going to stay for 2 night Just so we can check out the city a wee bit so aye we’re 5 minutes away let’s get there and check in Got it through Do you like it should we show them the room? Well guys this is our room so we got a 5 star place tonight as you can see this is our tiny wee bed and we’ve got a window here table for one a beautiful mirror got my bike chucked in down there Where you going? And here we’ve got our ensuite bathroom There we go, absolutely beautiful So aye you know that saying you can’t swing a cat? You literally couldn’t swing Nala in here because she’d hit every single wall, wouldn’t ya?
