CCTV footage has captured the shocking moment two violent teenage thugs robbed a man who thought he was meeting them to buy a bike advertised on Facebook Marketplace.
Bilal Jama and Michael Ogbeide-John, both aged 17, used fake names on the social networking site to falsely advertise a bike they were selling to lure their victims to meetings, a court heard.
The footage, from December 30, 2024, shows Ogbeide-John and Jama running behind the victim in an alleyway between Naburn Street and Daisybank Road.
Taking him by surprise, Ogbeide-John assaulted the victim and placed his arms around his neck.
“Something sharp” was pressed below the victim’s chin and he lost consciousness, Greater Manchester Police said. The footage also showed Ogbeide-John looking through a wallet for cash.

Bal Jama and Michael Abida John both aged 17, used fake names to falsely advertise a bike they were selling to lure their victims. Once arranging to meet their victims, the teens would rob them and take their cash. The footage shows one of a series of robberies in the Manchester area carried out by the pair. They were sentenced on Tuesday, October 14th at Manchester Crown Court after earlier pleading guilty to three counts of robbery and one of attempted robbery. Agita John additionally pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article. Jamaa of Kingsmir Avenue, Levenum was sentenced to 3 and 1/2 years. Agit of Melvin Road Longite has been sentenced to 4 years in prison. Follow for more.
