The Cyclers attempt completion of the 127¼ miles of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (albeit in the fourth day of travelling on it)
The weather has turned up on time but have both of the cyclers?..
[Music] [Applause] back on at wi get Northwestern to complete the canal we going to go past the lights of Wigan Athletic football club at the bridge bur go and then the lights of Magle anry I’m finally arriving at Liverpool docks uh is about 10 10 now so the plan is to arrive easily before the last train which will be about 11: and just enjoy ourselves a bit the weather’s much nicer than last time a few drinks in the cooler bag although it’s not going to get cool for very long because it’s so gorgeous but yes the plan is to enoy ourselves a bit with this one and uh not very many hiccups this time as well could be tricky because see passage as usual on this canal there won’t be complete smoothness in the passages but we’ll give it a good Go pass onto the road where can be done bypass tricky bar of the canal but uh yeah complete the 127 and A4 miles I think it is finally well within 14 months it’s September now [Music] 2023 done an extra cycle rout I’m on my fourth pint still no side of Marcus how can you be 4 hours late for a cycle rout you were on time last time we didn’t meet much earlier expected to be lurking over Horizon anytime soon that pum is now opened are we going over there soon because I’m going to be on the fifth Pine then I’ve drunk all my beer go over there then I’ll be able to see you come up you Goldman Marcus he’s in now is he I like four 4 another I’ve done the sea Memorial cycle route as well probably done it twice could have done it twice if I didn’t keep cycling down the down Hills and walking back up the up hills down P I’ve had one pint that’s I need to down where did you get a pint on the train well you bought a can did you what you actually bought it off the train no on the train yeah took it on the train with you how many have you got left with you none none know the other three in the multi Park are big bird and B and Ernie and he’s stolen my last can right so 30 mil to go mate we’ve got about 6 hours you last train some the like half 11 something stupid like that all last Tre said something stupid like 11:00 so we should manage this one fish neck oil what do you think you’re not laughing at me ducks are you they Co NE oil just in a little bit something those those um those swans swans weren’t as vicious um I say if you well I don’t I don’t know where got any footage from the notum uh the notum es capard um but um if you look at the episode from the first leag to Liverpool canal there’s a fell uh he was in um show show Girls was it no he’s in something I said it this out but uh he was he was I’m not going to edit out of my version he was telling about like the uh the um swans on the canal and now uh cuz he he lives on the canal and come back to his house uh yeah daily and whatever and everyone feeds them a vicious one care stay careful out there that’s it uh are we right I’m going to try and get as much information as I can we’ve stopped off at the Windmill in Parow part of the reason for this Al though we’ve only cycled two miles along the canal is that the first Steve Smith Memorial Cup was played in 2005 in the Station Pub in poal that has since closed in recent years for refurbishments or to be building something else right so we stopped up for the wi for p in honor of that se Smith Memorial Cup will hopefully be returning this year in 23 and Marcus Turner might want to play it again but the point is We’re stopped off Marcus is more concerned about gaining he’s got one pint but he wants to get more pissed than me because he was so late so that’s why he’s decided to stop off a pint instead of going for the extra mileage and cracking on now the other thing is right I’ve got a pint of Tiffany gold I’ve not the it is but well they bash Marcus what have you got I don’t know your name um Andy Andy the wall my name is Andy there we go and uh and yeah yeah sorry how do I keep forgetting to do this right so we’re going to get back on the canal after we’ve had these PES probably what to the wall for w so we’ve both me met each other we’re both vlogging where the Frog and dog should be but we need to get back on the canal stop look and listen baby that’s my philosophy are you coming back on the D Gates so one side of the canal and we uh we’re traveling on a grassy birge eventually it gave was the option to go under a bridge came what we thought was back onto the canal by going to the direction of the canal it’s taken us a good half hour to get back onto the canal but now as I live and breathe we’re back on the canal and I I think this is the right way to Liverpool I think but I don’t know whatever burst go this way I’ve been assured by some guy with a long blond ponytail that this is a way to leads I mean Liverpool let’s go yes I think you did you so yeah drink some burgers delirium R Wednesday [Music] Lou this this toilet is unusual because you’ve got a urino and a toilet and a lock interested to know if there is a black H Stadium indeed in Illinois I’m trying to turn it off but it’s not working Sam think about this we’ve still got over 20 miles to go to Liverpool just pushing 6:00 oh yeah here we are continuing the Vlog it is a Vlog and not a documentary so don’t let Marcus tell you otherwise in any shape or form I’ve left him because he’s having another Burger which comes with chips so he’s paying 13 for a burger I’m onwards and upwards and across for the next Pub that’s my plan I’m going to give Jack ASU a preliminary call to see if he’s going to pick up let’s see if he will pick up so if we as we’ve come past burco which is probably something that uh Jack Potter would have liked to have done we’ve got two the mobile phone you have called has been switched off we’ve got one it is not been possible to connect your call and we’ve got one uh something like the mobile phone you’ve tried to call is no longer existent so even if we don’t get around to making an official call we know preliminarily ask you is not picking up our call so what we’re doing we’re cracking on towards Liverpool along the canal why not that’s a plan and all this ask you calling Fiasco is just an Ask extra so let’s move on brother sister cracking Marcus is heading forward because he thinks he’s not going to make his last train his last train is at 33 minutes past 11 I’m going to catch him up Mar is just still on Renegade mode we’re heading towards Liverpool don’t know if that was mentioned but Wigan we’re [Music] heading 10 to8 in the evening 30 mil to go just plenty of time for any bus train around 10 or 11:00 13 M to Liverpool and that will be the lean to Liverpool Canal completed yeah baby 8:00 and we’ve got a nice stretch nice surface 12 miles less than 12 mil to Liverpool water the pull up sure what that sound in the wheels is can’t be more than 10 miles from Liverpool now I think you saw a sign say 9 for Liverpool real light working for me yeah the sound was my bag rubbing on my wheel yeah I think it’s 9 to Liverpool now her Pub will’ll be welcomed or just some I can get some desserts give me some chips or something could it go stop off at coxon’s bridge coxon’s bridge I should say live way by Bo of things [Music] look me just crashing my mid mid Rift into the bar that I couldn’t see yeah we’re less than L 4 miles to Liverpool now I just lost but but it was close yeah Less Than 3 miles to Liverpool probably get a train of about halfast 10 I think Marcus W as well back home it’s pretty dark by now if you have guessed pretty dark but uh finally get completed these Liverpool Canal assumingly as you come to this Bingo place a gate I’m ass me this marks the end of the leading Liverpool can now nowadays we go through and stay because we can’t 81 we can’t quite get through to the end of the canal look to Liverpool docks who must come off here and that’s the end of the Le and Liverpool canel 22020 see 34 someone got a line of a house I’m not going to pretend to know what’s going on but Bingo marks the end of the lead of Liverpool Canal yeah I think this is it I can’t get any further there’s a McDonald’s uh that sounds appealing I’ve just followed along the roads to Lime Street from B we head of
