[Music] hello everyone my name is rosn and I’m from India I’m an international student at the University of wampton and I joined in the year 2024 today I want to share what it’s like living in WW Hampton as a student from abroad from University experience to settling into the city so if you’re considering studying here this video is for you wampton might not be as famous as London or Manchester but it trust me it’s got a lot to offer for me the best part about studying here is how friendly and welcoming people are whether it’s local students or faculty they’ve been super supportive University of for Hampton has a diverse student body with people from all over the world which makes it feel like home plus it’s not just about the studies I’ve met people from so many different countries the university has loads of events to help you get involved and meet new people W Hampton itself is a practical and affordable place to live it’s smaller than many big cities like London but it’s actually a plus for me you can get anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes which makes life much easier the city center has got everything the supermarkets shops restaurants you name it being from India I was little worried about adjusting to life in a new country but W Hampton is an affordable city to live in you don’t have to pay much for the rent or food or Transportation as well the bus system is reliable but if you’re traveling further a field the train station is just a short work from the city center as an international student it’s easy to to feel homesick at first but there’s a strong sense of community here the university organizes social events like cultural nights and international student meetups where you can share your traditions and meet more students who are in the same situation as you I also started the Indian society which was an awesome way to make friends and stay connected with other students if you want to explore wampton has some great places to check out you can visit the wampton art gallery you can take a walk at the West Park which is perfect for a sunny afternoon we have several retail parks where you’ll find Cinemas and shops supplying latest fashion trends there are plenty of pubs cafes and restaurants in wampton where you can try British food or find something from your own country the local foot scene is pretty diverse too so it’s easy to find something that reminds you of home or try something new whether looking for great academic opportunities an affordable city to live in or just a place where you can feel at home W Hampton takes all the boxes for you I’m so glad I chose to study here and I think will love it too if you have any questions about the University of w Hampton or living in the city please get in touch thanks for watching and good luck with your University Journey
