Welcome to FinniFitness. My name is Finni.
Welcome to Part 2 of our adventure along the stunning Drakes Trail. In Part 1, we set off from Tavistock at sunrise on a calm, beautiful morning—but the ride was cut short after I crashed my bike, cutting my hand and bruising my arm. After recovering, I’m back to finish what I started. In this episode, we continue the journey through the scenic Millbrook Valley, pass through peaceful woodlands, and reach Coypool before heading back to Tavistock. Join me for more amazing views, winding trails, and the resilience it takes to complete the ride.

Ah. Oh no. I’m bleeding. Took a bit of a tumble. And bloody cobbles. I’ve never seen them. In your own time, mate. Thank you. Come on, guys. I’ll do 25 KS then on this bike. Excuse me. Thank you. Morning. Get in the woods. That’s it. See you later. I’m back at crash site. I’m back at the crash site. So, we’re going to continue. This is a different day now. So, I’m going to continue from here, aren’t we? See what’s down there. So, the journey continues. I’m all patched up. Got plasters on. So, let’s go. [Music] So, we’re heading to Clear Brook now. That way. Let’s go. [Music] I just seen a woodpecker then, but he flew over that way. So, I don’t I didn’t get on the camera, but pretty cool. Okay, lots of nature. [Music] M. We’re now heading down into Clearbrook, little village on Dartmore. Straight ahead of us. And in front of us, there’s a few doors in the distance as well. I don’t know if you can see that. And that is a right directly in front of us up in the hills. That’s uh where Prince Town is. It’s Dartmore Prison. So, here we are at Clearbrook, a little village on Dartmore. Beautiful day. Let’s keep going. There’s a lot of gates to go through. Stops your momentum of your cycling. You can’t hold it open. Okay, I don’t work today. Never mind. It’s a dark tunnel. I ain’t got a torch. Good job as lux. Woo. That’s darker than the other one. Clear block tunnel. This is pretty dark in here, mate. Good job. We got lights. If you’ve never done the Tavis Drake’s Trail, I highly recommend it, mate. It’s awesome. Dark tunnels, ponies, feeasants, sheep, squirrels. I haven’t got a squirrel on the video yet, but I’ve seen a few. And it’s absolutely stunning. Just be careful of the cobbles cuz you might end up on the deck just like me. Let’s keep going. Another old railway bridge we’re just going over and we’re just getting a little bit of rain. It’s not too bad cuz it’s fairly warm. It’s a bit humid. So, be nice. It’ll cool me down a bit. Morning. Morning. [Music] I’m happy. [Music] [Music] Looks like an old station here. Um, don’t know if you can go in. Looks like it’s locked. That’s a shame. That have been interesting. Oh, information. If you ever want to come here, the Plim Valley Railway. There you go. Fancy a day out. Plim Valley Railway. A day out on the existing the last bit of railway line they got left. The rest of it’s been turned into a cycle walk path. Brilliant. That’s where we are now. there. So, we got to follow the path. That’s Looks like goes over there. Let’s go. A beetle on a push bike. Look at that. Had to take a picture of that one. It’s pretty cool, eh? Let’s go. Well, we’re here, but I don’t know where we are, so I’m going to drive out. Oh, actually, that place in there is where I took my motorcycle test all them years ago. Morning. All them years ago when I took my motorcycle test, it was in this car park. I’ll show you now. How good is that? I’m back to where I took my motorcycle test. I didn’t think that was going to happen. I’m just going to drive around it. How you doing? I’m just having a look cuz I live on Australia now and I took my motor motorcycle test here about 30 years ago. Oh, it’s still here. Is it same? Is it the same same group? Not sure. Well, I’m on a test this week, so Oh, yeah. Yeah, it does. But I want a push bike now. Cheaper, I guess. See you later. See you later. So, the motorcycle training car park there where I passed my motorcycle test all them years ago. Um, is the end of the Drake’s Trail. Would you believe it? Well, up to that point, it might go on further from there, but it turns into um roads and I think that’s further enough for me. But that’s pretty awesome. Pretty awesome. And I’m going to make my way back to Tavisto now. So, it’s a great ride. So, if you’re thinking about doing it, walk it or ride it or just do it. It’s absolutely brilliant. I just swallowed a fly. Oh my god, it went straight down. I hope it was a fly, not a bee. I think I need to have something to eat. I’m having a banana to go with that fly. Hello. [Music]
