You can’t park there

A Friday afternoon bike ride up West Bromwich High Street and back through Tantany with a few obstacles on route.

So, we’re just making our way down Gresald Street and uh we’re going to turn off shortly. Very considerate of this car driver to park the way. So this area is the Jessen playing fields leading to Oakwood Park. [Music] It’s a quite a popular park for people walking around in front of us. mate to the games mugger which is the naughty gifts games area [Music] cross country going to be a bit bumpy here folks All right. [Music] Just crossing Garrett Street. to enter the subway into the albin. [Music] Just going to make our way [Music] up onto West Brom Street. So we’re in West High Street, folks. Cart is green. It’s busy with traffic around here. Makes it quite awkward. [Music] Just passing the Wheat Chief Pub which is now one of the oldest pubs in West Bromage, believe it or not. Chef Casino on our left. [Music] [Music] Few people out in a Friday afternoon there finishing work. Schools have just turned out as well. a colleges just uh slowing down for the traffic lights. We got parked cars in the cycle lane. They obviously can’t see that it’s a cycle lane. That should do, but they’re a bit stupid. As you can see, chaos around here. We parked cars where they shouldn’t be parked. Double [Music] [Music] I’m just going to uh turn left into Lombard Street. which uh is a oneway street. Hadn’t used to be, but it has been for the last 20 years or so. On our left, you got Church Street. [Music] Just going to briefly turn into Brat Street which takes us onto West Romy’s link new square shopping center in front of us. Someone crossing the road. Come on. [Music] And uh just going to get onto the cycle way. [Music] [Music] We’re just crossing the I41 Expressway which will take us on to All Saints Way and over this bridge which opened in 2012. [Music] And we’re just crossing all sides away. Going down the circle. [Music] Leave the sideway in a second into Argate lane. And from Argate lane, we’re going to go down to Glen Street. [Music] [Music] So this area is very bumpy. It’s known as tantra. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] which should bring us onto Ruskin Street if we turn left. Yep. [Music] So, Anthony is a mix of uh [Music] 1930s, 1940s houses. Also some new builds which have been built over the last 20 years or so. [Music] [Music] [Music] They just turned up into Drag Street. should bring us up to the junction of Gres. [Music] Yep. We’re now in Gresol Street. And in front of us, you can once again see the Jess. [Music] [Music] Somebody’s house alarm going off. It’s going off but nobody’s taking notes. [Music] Glad they’re looking. Nice. Go on, mister. [Music] So, uh, yeah, it’s a short one today, folks.
