A weekend in Copenhagen, Denmark – biking through the city, exploring Nyhavn, Christiania, and finding the best smørrebrød spot. The perfect mix of cozy cafés, beautiful streets, and that effortless Scandinavian vibe.
Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Morning guys and welcome to Copenhagen. I’m here for two days basically just staying for the weekend. I’m here with basically like my childhood bestie and I don’t really know what we have planned, but one thing I can tell you like I landed last night and there’s just bikes all over the city. This whole city is just bikes. And it no matter what time of night it is, it could literally be 4:00 a.m. You’re still only going to see bikes on the road. No cars, no pedestrians. Everyone’s cycling. I’m going to show you when we walk out of the Airbnb. Like, everybody and their mom owns a bike. All three. I’m not even joking. Anyway, I’m sitting on our balcony right now. We actually have such a cute Airbnb. I’ll show you in a second. And it was kind of lowkey really cheap. But let me show you our view. This is our Airbnb. So, that was the balcony I was just sat on. Got this little treasure chest, table, bookshelf. It’s proper bougie. Proper. Like, look at this cute little spot. How nice is that? And then that’s the kitchen. And our room is over there. Like look at all these bikes. And this is just the apartment complex. To be fair, there was way more last night. I guess everyone’s out using them now. Look at all this. Like this is insane. Do you want to say hi to the vlog? Hola. Wow. We’ve come for breakfast. So, we’ve got an omelette, mango smoothie, cappuccino. Taste test. Taste test. We’ll edit this out. What’s it saying? The vlog doesn’t speak Polish. What’s that? So guys, apparently that’s a power plant that you can also go skiing on. Like it’s like a summer skiing. I don’t even know. But anyway, it’s that it’s that [Music] The first stop today is Cristiana, which I’m definitely butchering the name of, but it’s a self-proclaimed autonomous community founded in 1971, and it’s basically like just all about being artsy and different and like sustainability and all that stuff. There also used to be an open like cannabis and hash market around here called Pusher Street. also known as the green light district. This greenlight district was technically illegal, but it was somewhat tolerated to a degree up until I think last year where a lot of things changed. But all in all, it’s just a very nice area to be honest. It’s quite like I guess it’s kind of like Camden, you know. Yeah, it’s cute. It just has like this cute like alternative vibe. [Music] We’re in a photo booth getting our hair ready cuz the wind has destroyed it. It’s curly. Both of us both our hairs were curly this morning. Let’s get some pictures. [Music] We’ve made it to New Hound, which is like the main spot where all the colorful houses are. It’s so cute. And if it wasn’t for the wind, it’d basically be perfect weather. Look at all the ships. It’s us chilling. Hopefully, I don’t drop my phone in the water. That’s great. No, it’s proper cute to be fair. This is actually so nice. Everyone’s on their bikes. Everyone’s chilling. So cute. And there’s a lot more of these colorful houses than I thought. Like when I went to Stockholm, it was literally like three. There was like three of them. This is like the whole street. Look. You guys learn the vibe. You guys know what we’re about to do. Let’s see. Chili, cheese, chicken burger, broccoli, and edamame bowl. Pumpkin spice flavored latte. I don’t know what like it is. I really don’t know. Anyways, let’s see. I don’t eat beef, so that doesn’t help me. Salsa and sour cream chicken wrap. Oh, you know what? I saw on the poster outside. Um, truffle burger. Yeah, look. Truffle burger. That is kind of fun. I kind of want to try that. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] In good Copenhagen fashion, we’re going to get a line bike. [Music] [Music] Guys, we just went on a line bike. It was so fun. It was coming his first time. He’s really going through it. How was it? I survived. It was It was tough, but we made it. We were one of them. We were really one of them. This was us. We were We were driving on the middle of the road, Bob. But that’s how it’s done. I don’t think it is, to be honest. You do. You go on the road. Look, they’re on the road, brother. You have to go on the road. How else? That’s how the map took me. If there was no bike lane, you go on the road. That’s how it works. That’s how you cycle. You know what? You would hate to cycle in London. This is like the safest cycle I’ve ever had. And I ain’t even no cyclist. Like, look at all these bikes. There’s just bikes everywhere, guys. This is like bike ability level 100. [Music] I’ve come to get some food. I want to get bread, which is like the famous Danish sandwich. I want to see what that’s about. There’s a little stand there. So, I’m going to try it. These are the options. I’m going to get this one and this one. [Music] Okay, guys. So, I’m going to try my two sandwiches. So, first I’m going to try the egg one. I don’t remember what else was in it. Oh, I showed you guys. You will. You should remember. [Music] That was actually pretty good. Oh, it was egg and truffle. That’s what it was. That’s actually really nice. And then this one is salmon and do you remember what else? No. Salmon and something either way again. Like I showed you guys. You can rewind and have a look. Brother, I’m the cameraman. I’m not supposed to talk. [Music] Thank you. [Music] These are actually really good. You know, like they’re like flavorful. Like you can actually taste all the different flavors in this. And I’m someone that like I feel like I very quickly say if something’s overrated, like I’ll be like, “Oh, that’s dead.” Like when I was in New York, 90% of what we had was overrated. But these are actually really good. And I know it’s like a normal sandwich, but it’s like very flavorful. Like when you try, you’ll find out. Like it’s like you can taste the salmon first and then you taste the like pickled cabbage or whatever it is. And then you taste the seasoning. It’s actually really good, guys. This is You should try it. You guys should try it. Have you ever seen bike traffic like this? How insane is that? Are you seeing the amount of bikes, guys? This is This is insane. Let’s go. I’ve never seen anything like it. Time to have a drink, watch the sunset. This is such a cute ride. I love this. So guys, the review of the first day in Copenhagen. One thing I can tell you for certain you will cycle. You will cycle. Even if it’s the first time you I promise. I’m not holding him hostage, guys. I’m not. I promise. Anyway, you’re a very good liar at it. I’m not. I don’t lie. Everybody that knows me know I don’t lie. I actually don’t. Anyways, everybody cycles. Like, it’s actually quite nice though cuz it’s a very small city. Like, you can cycle from one side to the other in like half an hour. Everything is so so so walkable. It is kind of expensive. I’m not going to lie. It is pretty expensive, but it’s like you’ll live. Um, I think they’re quite a nice vibe to be fair. Would you add anything? It is expensive, but it’s in Dutch crowns. So, it feels like monopoly money. Yeah, that’s true. That’s true. Cuz you’re not really doing the maths when you’re there. Yeah. So, you just pay. You’re not thinking about how much it is. You just roll with it. Yeah. And then you look in your revenue account and you’re like, that’s interesting. Yeah. Anyway, we’re going to watch the sunset and then we’re going to go back to the room, get changed, and then we’re going to try to see what the night life is about. A few moments later. The second day of the vlog was just me dying and coming back to life and dying. Coming back to life, laying on grass trying to find energy and the will to live. But we’re here. We should go to a park and just grass. Please, please, let’s find a park. It’s literally me and my Red Bull right now. That’s what I got. I was like, “Oh, it matches my Oh, it matches my outfit. Look at that. Maybe I can find some positivity in the day.” All right. What’s the plan for today? We’re going to see a tower. Uhhuh. And we’re going to go to the Black Diamond in Copenhagen. We’re going to see the platter. What’s that? It’s I think it’s the I’m not sure. Okay. Okay. Wait, what’s in English? Uh town hall, city hall. Okay, fine. And let’s find the tower first and then we’ll see where it takes us. Okay. Currently, we’re in the city center. As you can see, we were here partly yesterday. So, which way are we going? Okay, let’s go. Okay, let’s go. Okay, let’s go. General opinion, I have to say like Scandinavians are just so beautiful. I like they’ve actually been blessed with some insane jeans and I’m so envious. I’m so envious. Like I was on the train looking at how perfect the girl’s hair was. Like it was perfect, bro. Like my hair I look like a wet dog. But they it was like it was like the perfect blonde and it was like perfectly fresh but it wasn’t frizzy and it was just like oh I’m just so envious. And their makeup is just so flawless. And they’re all just so tall. Everyone is Oh, like I’m tall and I hate being tall, but Oh my god. Look. Isn’t that Isn’t that the tallest man in the world? What were the chances? Look at that. Hey, look at that. Guinness World Record Museum. Yeah, checks out. Just walked into there. But yeah, like it’s just insane. It’s actually just insane. And they just make everything look good. I just I’m just so envious. Which way? Okay, let’s go. [Music] How does it feel to be imprisoned? Do you know Rapunzel in her tower? Yeah, it feels like that. Wow. How would you know that? How would you know? Been there, done that. Period. Vibes. [Music] Guys, I’m so happy I found a chicken sausage. I love hot dogs, but I don’t eat pork, so it’s kind of hard. But I found some. And I really wanted to try Danish hot dogs cuz like it’s their whole thing. So, I’m quite excited. I really hope it doesn’t disappoint me cuz this is going to be my first meal of the day and with how I’m feeling the last thing I need is something that’s going to make me sick. So, you know. Okay. Hey guys, here’s my hot dog. Got chicken sausage, pickles, caramelized onion, normal onion, mustard. Oh, you didn’t give him ketchup. Anyway, let’s try it. I’m kind of scared cuz this looks like real meat. It’s all right. Which means it’s not that special. Um, kind of a little bit disappointing, but I’m also starving, so I guess it’ll do. I also don’t know if this is 100% chicken, but I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know. somewhere. Hey, look at this pink building. I think it’s a theater. I want to say it’s a theater. I don’t know for certain, but hold on. Hold on, girl. Yeah, I think it’s like a cinema theater type thing. Fun. Guys, there’s Tivoli Gardens, which is closed. I’m really, really, really sad about it. It’s basically this really cool theme park. It’s the second oldest in Europe. Yeah. Yeah. Second oldest in Europe. We really wanted to go, but it’s closed. And it literally closed a few days ago, and it opens again in a few days. So, it’s actually just really unfortunate timing. So, we’ve come for dinner. We’ve come to a place called Walkon in like the old town city center. And it’s so cute. Like, we haven’t even got the food yet, but we’ve got, look at this. They’ve given us blankets, guys. They gave us blankets. What a slay. We’ve got a little fireplace here to warm us up. Got music playing under the umbrella. This is great. Oh my god. Is that our food coming? I think our food is coming. Maybe not. Maybe. Oh, yeah. Cuz you have the beeper. Yes. No. Maybe. I don’t know. Let’s see. We were right. Got rice noodles with chicken. Came has hiccups for the past like 20 minutes. And egg noodles with chicken in teriyaki sauce. And mine is in curry coconut sauce. Well, guys, it’s 4:30 a.m. I’m getting ready to go to the airport and get on my flight home. As you can tell, it’s not easy. It’s not easy to be here. People are still cycling at 5 in the morning, which is insane. But, um, all in all, review of the trip. This is such a cute city. Like, I actually genuinely really like it. I know I’ve mentioned it 100 times, but the cycling just so fun. Um, people so attractive. That’al bread sandwich so good. Like, food has actually been pretty good. Um, what else? What else? I don’t know. It’s quite a small city. It’s quite nice because like everything is close. There’s no like rough areas. Everything is just nice and everything feels like the city center. Um, what else can I tell you? Like, I don’t know, guys. This was a great trip. It was a nice little weekend city break, and I definitely recommend it.
