🏍️ Hoggin’ 2025 – The Annual Ride Across the Severn Bridge! Get ready for Hoggin’, taking place on Sunday, October 12 — one of the UK’s most beloved motorcycle gatherings! The event kicks off at 11am, with riders setting off from the Aust car park outside Gympanzees for an unforgettable ride across the M48 Old Severn Bridge, linking England and Wales. This isn’t just any bike run — it’s a full family day out! Expect hundreds of motorcyclists, many in fancy dress, and plenty of smiles all around. Kids are encouraged to join in the fun too — in past years, we’ve even seen a Wallace and Gromit duo hit the road! Organised by the Caldicot Motorcycle Club (CMC), the event promises laughter, community spirit, and good times for all. One CMC member shared, “It’s just so much fun for everyone – adults and kids alike, and we can’t wait to see them all.” The ride will finish at The Measure Inn in Caldicot, where the celebrations continue into the evening with live entertainment, great food, and drinks. This year’s event has been led by club secretary Dawn Jones, who, alongside her husband Colin, has been part of the CMC family since 2006. Dawn said, “As usual, we’re all incredibly excited and hope to raise even more for our chosen charities — and give Caldicot a boost in the process.” Last year’s Hoggin’ raised funds for the Welsh Air Ambulance, Caldicot Food Bank, and Gympanzees, a charity supporting disabled children. This year, Blood Bikes Wales joins the list of incredible beneficiaries. Bikers are welcome to turn up on the day, but booking a spot in advance is recommended. You can find full event details on the official Facebook event page. Dawn added, “We’re so excited for this year’s Hoggin’ and can’t wait to see everyone down there. It’s always such a great day with an amazing atmosphere — and we’re hoping to raise more for charity than ever before. Thank you to everyone for your continued support!”
